Flowers Hair Fork. Handmade by YevheniiaShop
I went to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival yesterday (it was raining and VERY muddy). I came home with all this, plus 3 tomato plants, 8 cotton plants, and 2 nasturiums.

How to put up a bun with a hairstick! This also works with the really long bobby pins but those are less fun
A while back I made these hairsticks for a super cool person.
The wood is recycled rimu, cut from an old headboard with a mitre saw and a bandsaw, then shaped with a drill and a dremel, then finished by hand with four grades of sandpaper and given multiple coats of coconut oil (good for the timber and hair too).
The roses are handmade made from two different satin ribbons, then stitched into the timber.
It was a lot of trial and error and even more work making these, but I absolutely love how they turned out. The photos don't do the richness of the timber justice.
Yay for pretty hair pins! I about to make several similar and have them available for sale.
