hi! my pen name here is dante. 23, he/him, i’m 混血儿 and trans. welcome to this trash can fire of a rp blog! this is a main blog (i have a few sides, including a multi @hadnothing​) and features an indie, somewhat canon-divergent portrayal of gambit from marvel comics.

hey friends! sorry i haven't been around. unfortunately i have no great news there, i think i'm probably going to be on hiatus for a while more. i just don't have a lot of energy and time, which sucks, and of course tumblr is being real messy with functionality from what i've heard which i also tbh just wasn't wanting to try and handle atm. this past year has been chaotic and hard and i've been trying to take a lot of extra time to work on my physical and mental health, and get used to working full time too, which definitely did not improve mental health any lol. (man, the horror stories that are already piling up...) also prepping to move for work at some unknown point this year bc no one will tell me when, so that's cool.

on the upside, i have started trying to branch out and do things that make me really happy in my spare time. not that rp doesn't, but you know, it takes a lot of dedicated time consumption and things like writing pieces for charity projects/events related to my heritage, etc. has been really cheering me up. i've also improved my pound cake game, so hey...haha. if you wanna keep up with me a bit more these days, i'm trying to get better about using twitter and such, so that's probably your best bet if you wanna follow my projects and things. i do still check messages here but that's where i'm trying to consistently Be Around at the moment since it's fairly low effort, if that makes sense? i am still doing art sometimes, and if you'd like to commission me i'll post up my updated sheet later tonight (wew the old one is probably a couple years ago at least).

i really appreciate you guys for all the support and friendship i've received since i joined the community here! if this sounds like a goodbye, don't worry, it's not meant to be, but the vacation's probably going to continue a while longer. i just have been feeling kind of nostalgic and missing a lot of friends - i mean, lots of you are on discord, but not everyone (you're welcome to be though) and so i just wanted to check in and say hi, thanks, and how's it going? hope you're having a good day!

mini mail commissions!

so these are basically some of my favorite things to do, and is a little easier on me than writing atm, so i thought why not you know. idrk if there is much interest in this type of thing but a couple people said they might like it! so here we are this one’s for u guys i hope it’s something cool for u! little full color portraits done with alcohol markers, if ur into it! simple backgrounds only tho please...

price: $7 usd + $1 usd postage and packaging ($2 if international) pay: up front via paypal or cashapp sizes available: your choice from up to 5x7″ - 4x6″, 5x5″, and 5x7″ recommended shipping: untracked standard letter mail.* your piece is scanned and you are given the digital file in the event of mail loss, but it’s never happened to me yet. turnaround: 1-2 weeks depending on how much work is beating me over the head at the time. it’s been unpredictable lately. contact: actually please do email me over at [email protected], it’s easier for me to keep track of that way!

i have a decent (but small) spread of skin tones, basic colors, and single color focused palettes in pink, blue, and green. if a particular color scheme is not possible to do i’ll let you know!

ik i said i wasnt gonna post any more comms stuff for a while and tbf i still dont want to for digital bc im just wanting to work on my skills there for a while but idk would ppl be interested if i did little mini mail comms again very briefly? i dont think they were a huge hit before but i did really enjoy doing them so im like mmm is this the creative juice i need??

ahh...honestly i thought i had a better handle on life stuff this year but i don’t, responsibilities and stuff have definitely peaked more now than ever in my life so i’m really sorry you guys, i think i’m back on hiatus for a bit just to reduce pressure a little bit.

i really appreciate all my awesome mutuals and how sweet y’all always are!! and the new friends too, i’m so sorry asdlfhsd but i’m so glad we talked even a little and i look forward to writing more hopefully soon.

              “oh~” the forger teases, raising an eyebrow and leaning forward with a grin, “we love a thief who knows how to respect art!” honestly that just tells leo that remy will probably actually steal the real thing which is. hilarious, really. he has no stakes in this particular game. he can sell the fake with no problem. and if anyone manages to peg it as a fake he’ll just say he got confused because he had the original when he was forging. oops~ leo blinks a few times and finally leans back again, thoroughly pleased with himself, “you’d let me come along?” it isn’t that leo is not a good thief. it’s that he’s a very distracted one. that’s why he tends to stick to forgeries. “how could i refuse?”

             “’Course I respect the art. Couldn’t be the best without a good appreciation, neh?” Yeah, this one’s thinking of mischief. Remy can’t find it in him to disapprove when he tends to share the same attitude. Really, it makes him even more inclined to approve of Leo so far. “You’d be an idiot if you tried t’refuse,” he chuckles. “Good thing you ain’t.”

“Doubtful as charming as you are and gute looking you.” Kurt is pretty sure such a person has a multitude of options concerning partners. “Thank you though. I vill do my best. At the very least it’s gute to go out more.”

          “Flattery will getcha everywhere you wanna go,” he teases, and shrugs. Man, Kurt’s selling himself short again, huh? “Look, you really don’t need t’worry so much. You’re cute and you’re also super nice, mon ami. Like, actually nice. You’re gonna do better’n me.”

             it took all of eliot’s willpower not to gag. because the gesture was absolutely very sweet. and if it wasn’t a mushy, wet, pile of half-chewed potatoes. he shook his head instead, gesturing for john to put it back in his mouth and keep eating. “’ve got my coffee. i gotta make a call anyway.” they’re not going to last long on their little trip if eliot didn’t get help. alone, maybe he’d be okay, but he wasn’t taking that chance. not with john.                 there aren’t many people that eliot trusts. but the first person to come to mind is remy. he presses an affectionate kiss to the kid’s head and frees his phone from his jeans pocket. he’s quiet for a moment, easing the anxiety in his stomach some by taking a deep breath over his coffee.                and then he flicks his phone open and places the call. and when remy answers, eliot tries to keep his voice level. of course he was a little shaken up. but that didn’t mean he wanted remy to worry. they were okay for the moment. he takes a deep breath. “hey– - sorry. i hope you aren’t busy or somethin’… i just… uh. need a favor. or– - i guess i need your help.” no point in splitting hairs.

              People don't call Remy often. Or rather, they try to, but pretty much nobody has the number to this particular phone; having it means a guaranteed answer when a call is made. So when he jolts awake to a very specific ringtone buried somewhere or other in the blankets, he starts digging right away.

A quick glance confirms the caller identity he already knows; he takes only a second to dig the sleep out of his eyes before accepting the call.

"M'not busy," he promises. Even if he had been, he would've changed that for the tone in Eliot's voice. Eliot doesn't ask for help without damn good reason. He can count the number of times it's happened on one hand. "Whatcha need? You got it."
