“Oh right, yes, children.” There was a bit of distaste hanging on Gabriel’s lips. The young omega hasn’t been overwhelmed with the want to have pups. However, he could understand the pain of being away from his mate. Sometimes, he swore he could feel his mark burning into his throat and Ace’s smell over taking him. But he attempted his best to ignore it. “Oh, but I can get to enjoy the melting romance though. Makes my heart flutter with past experiences. What delayed you?” 

Nik listened to the other, and after being in that position himself, knowing what was very like the other was thinking of. “Yes you do... and it was just one of those things you know, I mean it annoyed the crap out of me... but its better now I am hope..” he admitted.

The water felt nice against his skin, the cool temperature thanks to the winter nights aiding in soothing the knuckles. While they weren’t exactly broken, they were still bleeding enough that he wanted to get them clean to inspect it for himself - if he saw bone, he’d head to the infirmary, if not, he’d just let his body heal itself. As he let his thumb brush against his knuckles, he caught the other’s scent and he had to stop himself from smirking lightly at his words.

“Most of them usually don’t… They think they can handle me, but they can’t,” he teased, the innuendo falling off his tongue like honey. Removing his hand from the water, he began to stand upright and looked behind him to see the tradesmen’s wagon being pulled further into the village. “So, have a good trip?” he asked, part of him itching to go and help unload the wagon. He was a wolf that wanted to do what he could, if only because he wanted to prove he could still do things like an Alpha could.

“Surprised you stopped to see little old me… don’t you have a big ol’ Alpha to take care of?”

Nik watched the other. He had been in that position a few times - not because he asked for it, but at one time or another almost all wolves ended up in some sort of brawl and he knew the pain. 

Nik watched the other and laughed a little  as he heard the males words. “You know I’m sure they mean to handle you in other ways..” he teased the other in return. He glanced to where the male had, before looking back and nodded his head a little. “Yeah, I mean there were obvious downfalls to being away for so long... but it was okay.” he admitted to the other. “Uh, I do yeah, but he seems to be rather busy at the moment..”

“Hello Nik!” Gab sung in a singsong voice, mead in hand. He sat down next to the other and put his knuckles against his cheek. He nodded along and took a sip. “Oh? Well, that sound magical. I am over the moon whenever I have to travel. I remember my first trade was anything I’d ever imagine. But then again, now I realize who you get over the kingdom’s ridiculous laws. Quite clever of you.” 

As Gab appeared, Nik smiled a little to the other. He turned to watch the other as he spoke and nodded a little. “I enjoy it at times, but this seemed to go on forever, and I missed charlie and the pups..” he admitted to the other. “Well we all have ways of getting the things we want..” he chuckled again.

“Oh fantastic, you’re back. Did you get the ink?” Ky didn’t mean to be direct. Rarely did he ever project an uncaring attitude. At least when he was when he was running on a full amount of sleep and an unstressed morning. Everyday since he got his position, he wondered if it was a good idea to do so. 

Sure he got to run the infirmary the way he wanted but, the cost started to show in the bags under his eyes. Luckily for him, the healers were astounding at their jobs and he didn’t have to intervene with much of the work unless it was a true emergency. He caught onto his attitude he was projecting and tagged on another statement. Plus, one of the healers had original sent him there NOT to do anything related to work. “Forget I said anything about the ink… I hope that it was a safe trip? Was there any hiccups? Were there any hiccups?” 

Nik had remembered when he was leaving, that ky had asked him to try and get some ink for him - and of course he managed to. Nik had ways of getting what he wanted.  He was about to reply, when the other started to speak again, and nik smiled a little before pulling the ohter into a bear hug and a hand cupped the others ass for a squeeze before pulling back. “You know, you are always direct... I like it..” he teased. Pulling the ink out of the bag over his shoulder he handed it to him. “You should know I get what I want..” he laughed. “It was okay, no real hiccups no.” he stated to the other.

With dirt and sweat caking his skin, the Alpha headed back from the tree line with his favorite axe in hand. Falling trees wasn’t his job, really, but there were only certain type of wood he needed for the handles and hilts of the weapons he created and oftentimes, they weren’t the trees that the lumberjacks often fell - as they didn’t burn as long or as hot as the more common wood. Deciding to make his way by the river, he could see the watchful eye of one of the guards in the outpost and he gave them a nod as he wondered if his father would have taken up such a position if he had left Egrain for Athos… Maybe then his mother and his father would be alive.

Walking through the river, the cold soothing his overheated skin but causing his skin to pebble up, he began to trudge his way through until he came upon the road, only to see a familiar wolf standing nearby. His packmaster’s mate. “So you’ve returned, then?” the Alpha asked, moving to place the axe on his shoulder as he stared at the Omega. Part of him thought it was selfish for an Omega to leave its Alpha, especially since the Alpha was a packmaster, but that wasn’t something he was going to voice aloud. “May the packmaster rejoice at your safe return.”

Nik stood taking in the beauty of the scenery around him, before noticing a member of Charlie’s pack approaching him through the water. He smiled a little  “I have returned..” he chuckled. “finally... it seemed like it was far too long....” he admitted. He didn’t like leaving the villiage but at times he had too.

“I hope he does... I haven’t even see Charlie yet, but I will soon be looking for him..” he admitted. “how are you?” Nik asked. He was pretty caring about Charlies pack.

Samuel was letting his pup roam around and play in the river - it brought them great joy. And it brought Sammy even greater joy to watch and see the youthful happiness among the pup’s face. He heard someone coming closer and his hand move to the throwing knives and dagger that were in his pocket - can’t teach an former assassin new tricks. 

He heard a voice and nodded, he was behind a tree looking at the new comer, just seconds ago he was sitting by the river. But he was scoping to see fi the other would be any danger to his pup. Yes, he had some trust issues. He fully looked at the other and recognized the mate to the Venois’ alpha. He visibly relaxed. “Where did you go off to this time?” He asked curiously and moved to come out to where the other could see him.

Nik watched the pups roaming around. It felt like he hadn’t seen them in so long - and being the caregiver, meant  he was around these pups most days. As their father came out, Nik watched the male and smiled a little. “Well I went along with some trademens... so it wasn’t very adventurous, but it was okay seeing different scenery... but it was even better to come home..” he admitted to the other wolf. His eyes glanced over him for a moment. “How have they all been?” he asked motioning to the pups.

while his absence might have felt longer than anticipated, greyson felt like he’d seen nikolijah just yesterday. the concept of time was easy to lose track of when he was so focused on his work. his lips saw the faintest smile as he, too, took the time to admire the scenery around them. greyson had just come from the forest to forage for some medicinal herbs but he admittedly had not been paying attention to the beauty of the woodlands itself. such sentiments were often lost on him. 

“i suppose it is—-something to be missed,” he said, shifting the basket of herbs on his hip. “how was your vacation?” greyson asked his fellow healer. 

Nik heard the other male and smiled as he saw the other, moving closer to him, he place a hand on his back. “You know it really is something to be missed... along with most of the people here.” he admitted to the other watching him. hearing the other ask about his vacation, he couldn’t help but chuckle a little. “I can’t really call it a vacation... but it was okay... I’m glad I am home now though... so much to miss here. “

Finn had his eyes closed, as he was sitting by the lake, he was feeling and taking the sun rays as they shined down onto him, making his skin glow. It’s been a while since he actually had the day off or just a few hours to himself, some pack member was taking over Finn’s duties at the ranch just for a couple of hours, which he was very grateful for since he’s been so occupied with farm duties and that’s all he did, nothing more.

Finn eyes slowly opened as he looked over and heard a voice nearby. Finn slowly got onto his feet and looked over at the man.  ‘’ Yeah…this place is very peaceful.’’

Nik looked down to the male and smiled a little at him. “Well hey there.” he admitted to finn. He moved over to the male. “It very is peaceful,” he agreed with the male. “What’s been happening? what have I missed?” nik wondered. he would have so much to catch up on now he was back.

   “I don’t think you ever get use to the feeling. It feels so good to be home and you have this feeling of comfort,” he replied chuckling, holding the other, missing their scent. He was glad that Nik was back and he was also happy that they were safe as well. “I did not know that I was your second favorite Alpha,” he added teasing. 

“I have some food in my cabin, if you want to go somewhere warm and I know you have missed my cooking and also Charlie’s cooking as well.” 

Nik laughed a little. “It does, and I do, the feeling of comfort is something I missed the most...and all the pups running around and waking us up at stupid times..” he admitted with a chuckle. “Well I mean outside of the imediate family, who would be my second favourite..” he admitted. hearing food, the male nodded a little. “Food sounds amazing... warmth and food is something I really need..” he admitted. being away had meant things were usually cold, and food was scarce.

Charlie was sleeping in this morning as he had the day off.  Reports were that the group that Nik was out with would be returning that afternoon, he had plenty of time to straighten up and bake the ginger snaps.  But as he felt the mattress sink on Nik’s side of the bed, he began to wake more fully.

Opening his eyes, he saw those eyes that always made everything better.  Inhaling deeply, he drew Nik into his arms and breathed in his scent.  Nuzzling his cheek against his mate’s he murmured softly, “You know, it’s funny.  You were the one who was gone, but it feels like I’m coming home when I pull you into my arms.”

Nikolijah should have been the one who was fluff talking to the other, and yet the other seemed more fluffy than him - god what would people have thought if they could hear his thoughts. Nik’s eyes watched the other and the smile made him melt, resting his body into the other’s.

It felt like his body felt warm again in the arms of the other - warmer than it had been since he left. “Well you can come home as much as you want... and I might just have to leave and come home a little more if this is the reception i get..” he laughed a little. “I love you,”

   Wesley had gotten some fire food for some of the other members of his pack when he saw a familiar face and smelt that  familiar scent as well. He had missed seeing Nik around and he knew that Charlie had missed their mate so much. “That’s  the same way I felt when I left for the first time for a few days when I was a hunter,” he said dropping the wood and walking closer to Nik and smiling as he gave him a hug. 

“I think Charlie is still handling some business until later tonight but, we can catch up and talk about your adventures.”

Nik heard the other male speaking and instantly recognised his voice. Of course he would, it was charlies nephew. “Wes!” he excalimed with a smile and turned to hug the male pulling his in. The scent was almost as familiar as Charlies. “You know, it’s really crazy right.” he admitted

After the mention of charlie, he nodded a little. “Yeah, I figured he could be... but yeah I mean I am definitely not opposed to spending time with my second favourite alpha.” he stated.

The male had been anticipating this moment, even since he departed. The male always hating to leave hit mate in the villiage alone when he had to leave the village for any reason. He was finally home and stood outside of the cabin he shared with his mate. He moved to pick up some dishes and placed them to the side to wash.

Aften that, he watched the room as if he were taking it all in. Before long, he moved through and since it was early morning, he anticipated Charlie to be still asleep and he was proven right. He moved to climb next to the male and propped his head up with his hand and elbow. He smiled to the male for a moment.

The trip away with a trademan of the village had gone rather longer than he anticipated, but now he was very happy that he was going home - back to his kink, his pack, and his mate. Of course, as he got closer and closer to the village, he was getting more and more impatient with getting back to his place.

He had finally came into familiar surroundings and made his way past the tavern and towards the home, he shared with charlie. The male paused for a moment and looked over the scenery and river for a moment. He heard someone approaching and spoke. “You know, I never knew how much I missed this place... I missed the people, but never figured I would miss the village..” he admitted.

Liam felt a surge of delight as the crowd cheered along with his giddy tune. The folksong allowed the crowd to join in, the boy’s golden voice still clear amongst the crowd as he lead them through the song. His feet moving swiftly as he increased the tempo of the song. Each step quicker than the last as he weaved through the different isles and past tables filled with patrons.  So far he’d done well not to accidentally jostle any of the crowd, but as the song reached its finish he’d missed a nearby foot and found himself falling straight into the lap of a patron. Quick to finish off the tune, the crowd cheers as he gives a sheepish smile to the man who’s lap he now sits upon. “Apologies Sir, I seemed to have lost my footing.”

Nikolijah watched the other and laughed a little as the bard fell straight into his lap. It had been a while since he had found himself in the tavern, and the bustle and sound of laughter and songs, made the wolf glad he was home. “I don’t mind at all... “ the male watched the other with his arms wrapped around the other, knowing that it was more instinct than anything.

Rowan was almost always smiling with how he interacted with the others of his pack, as well as the extensive members of the other packs that were living in the same area. It was a community, after all, and he loved everyone. Which due to the ideals of the pack set up the young ginger as a bit of a wild card, he wasn’t vocal about wanting the packs to join, but his ideals were still a little evident. It was his day off, but he never turned away someone who came to a Healer of Venois, “Did you need something today or were you just looking to be buds for the afternoon?”

Nik was stuggling a little with just a little pain he had been experiencing while he was away. It was not something he was too concerned about - and it wasn’t a big deal but since he was home now, he was just dropping by to see if everything was okay. “Hey, well I mean I am free to hang out too, but actually I would like to to just take a look at something for me quickly.” the omega admitted.

With a fond smile on his lips, Zakar watched the pups playing around near the river’s edge with a couple of the other nursery workers. While usually Zakar could be found in the slaughterhouse, helping some of the ranch-hands butcher the meats that the hunters gathered, or of some of their own livestock, sometimes he liked to help out at the nursery when he knew that they were short-handed. Watching the pups as they played, he couldn’t help but let out a small and content sigh as he heard the crunch of dirt underneath a heel as someone approached. “ Peaceful, isn’t it? It makes you yearn for a time when things weren’t complicated… or at least when you were oblivious to it,” he spoke to them, eyes still transfixed on the innocent display that was before them before he turned to look at the other, curious to know what their response would be.

Nik had stopped by the nursery to check in on the pups he had left for a prolonged perios of time and approached a male standing watching over his wards. He chuckled a little at the others words. It was right. “Absolutely... its part of the reason why I became a caregiver, the pups always seem to have more energy and such a positive outlook on life.” the male admitted looking up to his packmaster. “Sir.”
