Ballet

So I’ve played a lot of sports, each one harder than the next. But I must say; ballet is the hardest. It requires much more skill, technique, and strength than anything else I’ve ever done. So before anyone gets to saying “ballet isn’t a sport,” I would like you to know you are very, very wrong.

Can we stop with the negativity in the ballet community?

You know, sometimes people are mean in the ballet world. Sometimes honest opinions turn into fights and that turns into discourse that becomes anger.

We will have NONE OF THAT HERE YO!

I just want to fangirl about ballet shit I love! I want you to fangirl about ballet shit you love! No slamming other people or dancers or choreographers or anything! Just kindness!

This isn’t an attack on anyone or anything. I’ve just noticed a lot of negativity in the ballet community with people thinking they are above other people and their opinions. Which is really unfortunate. I think we just need to band together an talk about good fun things!

Arguing won’t help anyone when you’re just doing it to prove your point rather than to learn something.

So no negativity here please! Fill my inbox with everything you love about ballet! This is a safe space for positive and constructive discourse!
