I wish the ultra rich would take more pride in actual services to society. I wish they bragged about buying a new metro line for their city, or stocking up food banks. I wish Bill Gates and Elon Musk were beefing over who could repair the most potholes, or fund the most scholarships. I wish they considered their ability to help their society a privilege.

If I were ultra rich I’d take my friends around my city and brag about how I had that bridge repaired, how I built that school, how I paid for that road to get re-paved. I don’t understand how they don’t consider that to be one of their goals, a dream even.
