No one can ever get mad at Toph and Zuko shipping because truly the reasons people ship them are:

- they are both pretty

- they are both single (in the movie)

- red and green

- why not

It’s funny because they’re probably the most similar to each other out of the gaang (Iroh pointed this out himself), but it’s true, there never was a real reason to ship them before aside from a minority of people saying Zuko could be Lin’s real father (nothing to prove that, but speculation is fun hehe).

It’s simultaneously impossible to prove they ever had feelings for each other, and also not completely out there based on their adult personalities. This ship is comepletely for fun and that's something I can get around.

Just found out we were robbed of Zuko calling a Tagah a “bastard” after murdering Toph.

Adds a whole new layer to this.

Does anybody else ever wonder if Toph ever feels sad and left out during these kinds of moments? Likeeee,,, maybe she could feel them getting excited and she lowkey gets frustrated for not being able to relate to it?

I'd like to think that if she did, Zuko would be the first to notice because he's the most perceptive in the group (shoutout to Uncle Iroh's fantastic parenting) and he tries his best to include her by narrating to her what they're seeing. Just like how he said, "He's actually flying." directly to her when they were watching Tagah and Aang fly from the airship because he knew Toph couldn't see the scene.

Don't mind me, I'm just gonna go cry at some corner.

I’m kinda laughing at the atla tag being filled with screen grabs from the movie tagged z*tara and it’s literally just katara and zuko standing next to each other. Like baby the delusion is still so strong after all these years. They had barely any interactions in this movie and the most significant one was them both adamantly disgusted about being called a couple. Meanwhile, Zukka and Toko cathedrals everywhere in that movie for those with eyes to see. And of course, Kataang being That Girl once again

Now this is badly edited, but I did what I could, but the noses for the new ATLA movie have been bothering me immensely. All the noses look so bleh. I know the art style in general is very different from the series, but the noses are just SOOOOO different. I feel like this would have made a ton more sense and makes the character animation feel more in line with the original series. Had to see what it would look like for Aang and Katara at least.

“the parallels between Zuko and Sokka-” hey HEY. I am grabbing you. The parallels between Katara and Azula. Both the younger, gifted bender. Each one being the inverse of the other: a living, breathing what if. Katara being horrified at what her bending can do when pushed to its limits vs Azula always trying to push hers further. Katara instinctively trusting everyone so easily, even though it burns her sometimes, and Azula saying trust is for fools, fear is the only reliable way but still losing everyone she cares about in the end. Katara yelling at her dad and being hugged in return vs Azula doing everything possible to please her father still being harshly reprimanded, so you know exactly why they both turned out the way that they did. Katara’s trauma being connected to losing a mother vs Azula’s being connected to having a mother. Katara ultimately being the one to take down Azula and standing over her, staring pitifully because that’s who she could have been, in another life. is this thing on
