it is so wild to me that unromanced solo king alistair and solo queen anora end up without even a vague political marriage to pretend they're going to have an heir eventually, celene is Fully Childfree, and gaspard is also childfree. what's wrong with them....
actually i'm fascinated by the idea of deadbeat celene. she does not know this child. she meets them like once or twice a year to check on their report cards from their tutors, gives them some weird backhanded insult/compliment remark that's meant as a test of their ability to understand her Galaxy Brain Verbal Repartee, and then leaves. she doesn't even remember their birthday. briala gets them a present on celene's behalf, bc she feels 5% bad about this.
also she Commemorates her poor dear late husband's death, every year, by wearing a new, cutting edge fashion mourning gown each time, and crying one or two beautiful crystalline tears at his ashes. she does also drag the kid along for this, for PR purposes.

I don't like to admit it, but sometimes I actually miss John Green.
Sometimes I can almost hear him.
It’s almost like he’s still alive and well and making things. but that can’t be right
How it feels to be mutuals with someone for over a year
If you're writing anything involving cons, scams, heists, or morally questionable characters who are very good at lying, here are some free resources I've been using for research. Saving you the "why is this in my search history" anxiety.
1. The FBI's Famous Cases & Criminals archive (fbi.gov/history/famous-cases) has detailed breakdowns of real fraud cases, Ponzi schemes, and confidence operations. The language they use is clinical and precise, which is perfect for getting the procedural details right.
2. The FTC Consumer Sentinel Network publishes annual reports on the most common fraud tactics in the US. Great for understanding how modern scams actually work and what makes people fall for them.
3. The Smithsonian's American Art Museum has a free digital collection of forgery case studies. If your character forges documents or art, this is gold.
4. Court Listener (courtlistener.com) is a free legal database where you can read actual court transcripts from fraud trials. Want to know how a real con artist talks under oath? This is where you find out.
5. The Internet Archive's collection of old newspaper crime sections. Search for "confidence man" or "swindle" in papers from the 1920s through 1960s and you'll find incredible real stories that would feel too dramatic for fiction.
Bonus: The Psychology of Fraud section on the Association for Psychological Science website has accessible articles about why people trust, how deception works cognitively, and what makes someone a convincing liar. Essential reading if you want your con artist characters to feel psychologically real.
Reblog to save for later. Your WIP will thank you.

I’ve been waiting since March to post this…
do you romance the video game characters that you personally are attracted to (i.e. not just your preferred gender but your “type”, you personally are Into That)
i exclusively romance characters i’m personally attracted to
i mostly romance characters i’m personally attracted to, with some exceptions
it’s sort of a 50:50 whether or not it’s about personal attraction
there are a handful i pick for that reason, but mostly it’s something else
my choices aren’t about personal attraction at all and only cross over by chance
i do not experience personal attraction to video game characters or at all
i do not do romances in video games
if you do repeated playthroughs to experience all or most romances, please as usual try to answer for your “main”/“canon”/favourite playthroughs, or your first playthroughs if that makes more sense
