He could see what she meant and smiled as she cupped his cheeks with her hands. "As long as you don't think I ever loved you for all of this." His hands motioned around the room. To him it felt like all of her exes had used her for her celebrity but didn't want to be seen with her, just wanted the whispers. Barry was the exception, he wanted her and didn't care about the fame. He was happy just to go to the grocery store dressed down and had publicly let the world know she was his, no shame just him obsessed with her and loving her. "I understand what you mean. The Beatles movies have kept me tied down to London and out of the PR circle. but when they get released it's going to be big." Barry grew up with nothing so anything that came his way, he was grateful and proud of. All he wanted was a better like for Brando then he had. He loved how how touchy she was, it was always something that made him smile and feel how much she loved him. Barry refused the champagne but asked for a water so the waiter was off to fetch him one. "You're a very lovable person. You're genuine and I think they see that or feel it. Just something changes when you walk in a room." He said trying to explain her aura and why she was so loved to her.

“No, baby. I’ve never thought you loved me for all of this.” She never thought that Barry used her to get his name out there. Hell, when they first got together Sabrina wasn’t really known. It wasn’t until Short n Sweet came out almost a year later that her name really blew up. And now she knew that he was with her because he truly did love her. The blonde nodded, “it will be big when those movies come out. And you’ll name be everywhere again and everyone’s going to want a piece of this Irish stud.” She leaned up, kissing him softly. The blonde watched as he refused the champagne, she always wondered if these events were difficult for him. And she hoped he would always be able to deny any alcohol. “People do say I light up a room when I walk,” she teased. “I’m glad you were able to come tonight.”

He looked confused for a moment but had to ask her what he was thinking she meant. "You think I only got invited last year because of you and the fact we were dating? Just have pissed them off when we broke up and came separately." He certainly hoped that all he was seen as then was 'Sabrina's boyfriend' but she could be right. If he didn't get one next year then he would chalk it up to that or that Anne hated him for breaking the blonde's heart before. A smile came across his face. "You know I don't care about that fancy stuff anyway. I just like going with you because I love you and liked escorting you. The after party is more my thing. " Even he could admit that he had looked out of place and awkward when he escorted her in 2024 but she was his girl and he wanted to take her. "You're right, it doesn't matter or change anything. I'm not with you for an invite. I'm with you because I love you. I just want to concentrate on us and the present not the past." He began to dance along with her and forgot all about the concerns in his head. No one could blow this up but him and he was determined not to. As the song ended he escorted her back to their table and quickly people descended on her to tell her how amazing she looked and sounded. As they walked off he smiled. "I really has been your night. I love that everyone loves you, especially Beyonce." He was nervous to ask how the night was supposed to end since all three of them were there. He was playing all that by ear and letting her decide what she wanted.

“No, no,” she paused as her hands moved to cup his cheeks. She had realized how it sounded, and she didn’t mean to make it sound that way. He was always more than just her boyfriend during that time. “I didn’t mean it like you only got invited because you were my boyfriend. I meant your name was everywhere between Saltburn coming out earlier that year and then you being in my video. You couldn’t turn the corner without seeing Barry Koeghan’s name. Which would have happened whether we were dating or not.” She could have just hired him for that role in her video, and it would have ended the same way. She loved dancing, even more with him. Her hips swayed along to the music, and Sabrina spun around to face him, her hands roaming along his chest for the rest of the song. She smiled as people came over to talk to them once they were at the table. She held conversations with them until they went to go talk to Madonna. She thanked a waiter as he came over with a tray of flutes of champagnes, and she took one. “I know. I can’t believe Beyonce loves me, or Madonna for that fact.”

"We should have done this a long time ago." Realizing that he sounded like meant since they had gotten back together, he carried on his train of thought. "The first time. Maybe it would have made a difference and before you say anything, I know it wasn't your call. I was the one always in the shadows, not being out in the open for people to see." He looked down into her eyes seeing so much love there. "I wasn't ashamed of you or anything like that. It was more I was scared after my last relationship went sour. I thought being open had hurt it and maybe if no one knew then things would be different." They weren't different, instead he felt free to come and go with woman after woman. "I know it's the past but we're never going back to that. I want everyone to see us and know you're mine. And I promise not to bring the past up again. Tonight is all about you and how amazing you are." He wasn't going to let the past damper the present. "You do and you're such an entertainer. I have always had so much respect for you and your work ethic as well as you as a person." She wasn't a bad person at all. He knew recently she had questioned that but any of her actions had been out of love not malicious. His arms stayed encircled around her waist as they talked in their on world, not caring about anyone around them. "I think it will. You take great care of it and I think that will protect the longevity of it." He could see how that would be a singer's greatest fear. "You should ask him. He seemed completely charmed by you. I'm still jealous that you and Joey got to see him in concert." It was probably a date night and she deserved those, they both did. "No one loves her as much as I do." He said with a look of love in his eyes. "Turns is okay with me." He wasn't sure he would want to give her to the second one when his turn was over but he would have to. "Good, I like being first and when we're done them I'll run us a bath, so you can clean up afterwards." It sounded nice till he wondered if the last one got her all night or if she went to her room alone. He was sure they would work it all out and she would help make it easier then it sounded in his head.

Her hand rested against his chest, a small smile on her lips as he talked about doing this the first time around would have made a difference. “No, I don’t think it would have baby. Maybe it would have kept you around a bit longer, but I think our endgame the first time around was going to end with us breaking up. I think we needed that for you and me to realize that we did want to be with each other.” She told him softly, her blue eyes resting on his darker ones. “I wouldn’t want to change anything about how we got together. Everything happened the way it was supposed to for us to end up right here. With me finally in your arms again.” She wrapped her arms around him as she kissed him softly. “I know you weren’t ashamed of me. Sometimes it felt that way back then, but I know ow there was more to the surface than you let on. I know you didn’t break up with me because I wasn’t good enough or that you didn’t want to be seen with me.” She didn’t know the full story on his last relationship before they originally got together. But she knew how it was to be traumatized from a relationship and to being able to fully move on from it. She giggled, “he is charmed by me. Every time I’ve met him, it’s just amazing. Maybe one day I’ll lock in that collab too.” She wasn’t too sure about getting one with him, but she wouldn’t turn it down if the offer came to the table. “No timers for these turns, either. I don’t want to rush this.” She wasn’t sure if she would move onto the next one when it felt right, or if it would be better to set a timer so she didn’t lose track of time. “And what do you want to do, baby?”

Barry wasn't a fan of the longer hair but as long as Sabrina was okay with it then it would make the next few years not as bad. "You do love to feel something moving with you. I loved the gold and think it brought out your hair and eyes too." His eyebrow rose upwards at her statement. "I'm not? I think I'm more popular now then I was last year. Between Hurry Up Tomorrow, Crime 101 and these Beatles movies, I thought for sure I would be invited." He shrugged his shoulders and smiled though. "I think Anna just doesn't like me but then that makes no sense since she was okay with me going last year. "Maybe she doesn't like me with you." He was sure few did and Anna had taken a shine to Sabrina. So many people saw her as a daughter figure lately. Anna even going so far as to put her on a committee. Sabrina was the golden child and Barry was still seen as the guy that cheated on her even if they had gotten back together. He was surprised Jenna wasn't invited but then remembered she was filming Wednesday so she wouldn't have been able to come. "You are elite. Maybe you'll get more then 15 minutes." He said teasing her because of her song. "Perfect, I wanted to get my hands on you all night." He took her hand and led her to the dance floor.

She paused shrugging, “yeah, guess you are more now than last year. But I meant more like because of Saltburn and our relationship.” When the invites would have went out for the met last year, it was before their relationship came to an end and everyone was still talking about him starring in her music video. It made more sense in Sabrina’s brain that he would have gotten invite din 2025 compared to this year. But she also understood why he would think he was more popular this year than the year prior, which would mean he’d probably get an invite for the following one. “But all is good. And regardless of if you get invited to the met, you’ll always have a spot if I throw an after party.” She shrugged again, “can’t see that being a thing since she had no issue of us going together in 2024. I think we need to stop worrying about why you did or did not get invited. Focus on the now.” She leaned up and kissed him softly. She took his hand and followed him to the dance floor. She turned as a song started playing, her back against him as she danced along to the music.

He smiled as she turned to see him and then placed a kiss to her lips. Was he staking his claim in from of all of the guests? Of course he was, being in London so much, he wanted everyone to know that he was still very much her man. "I loved them, all of them. I keep trying to pick a favorite and that's hard because I like each of them for different reasons. I think perhaps the Sabrina film dress, just for the sheer creativity of it but The Marilyn and James Dean dress is right up there too and I loved how it hugged every curve of your body." The film dress certainly fit the theme of the gala , the other paid homage to two legends gone too soon. "And the others were gorgeous as well, Sabrina made everything she wore look good. " Maybe she felt we couldn't pause filming for the Met." He wasn't sure, Anne was a hard one to pinpoint on things but she loved Sabrina and always invited her. "I hope she'll ask me next year but for sure she will the year after since the Beatles movies will have been released." Hudson and Connor had been asked, since Heated Rivalry was the talk of the tv world at the moment and so he felt for sure ha and the other boys would be invited then. "It's hard because so many people want to come and there's only room for so many, it's an elite list and you my darlin; are elite." He told her with a smile. "Dance with me or you need to work the room?" He knew how important that was a host and she surely didn't want to let Madonna down.

Sabrina smiled into the kiss, and quickly returned it. Her fingers played in his haira s she listened to him talk about her dresses from that night. “I think I loved gold dress the best. But you know me, I love dresses that move when I move,” she giggled. Sabrina had made it clear that she loved when her outfits moved, and the fringe of the gold dress did exactly that. “And you just aren’t that popular right now. I feel like whoever is popular that year kind of just gets invited. All depends on who the fashion designers want to invite.” They were the ones that bought the tables for the gala, and the fashion houses always invited the celebrities. Of course Anna Wintour did have the final say on the guest list, and she had some favorites and some that weren’t favorites. “I guess I am elite now,” she returned his smile. “I already worked the room. I can go for a dance with you.”

No lie, it felt good to be kissing her in public knowing people were watching them. Even years ago they had never been seen in public other then that grainy pic as they left a bar to go back to his place. "I like kissing you in public." He admitted to her as the kiss broke and she pulled back from him. "You always enjoying performing no matter how many songs you get to sing. " The smile on her face was electric and he could tell how much it meant to her that she was able to perform and sing with another one of her idols. "I'm sure she loved it as much as you did. You two kept holding hand which I found to be a touching moment between the past and the present. I swear her voice hasn't declined at all. " He was also a fan of hers and Fleetwood Mac's. "I would have died and gone to heaven if I met her." He could see why she would want to sing with Britney. I would love to see you sing with Paul McCartney too. Can't let all the women have fun. You have to show some love to the talented men in the world." He went to say something else but someone had came up to congratulate Sabrina on her look and her performance. As they walked off he smiled at her "Everyone loves the belle of the ball. So what's the plan tonight? We all get to spend a few hours with you or how are we doing this?" He wasn't sure she even knew but it was something to think about. "If we're taking turns, can I be first?"

“hmm,” she hummed softly as their kiss broke. Her eyes opening to look into his. They were bright, full of love as they settled onto Dylan’s darker ones. “I like it too, baby.” Her hand moved to cup his cheek as she pecked his lips once more. “I do; I just like to be on stage. I could perform all night if everyone would let me.” Her giggle was light as it escaped from her parted lips. It was no lie about how much she loved being on a stage. She was at her happiest on it. “Stevie’s voice ahs not declined. It’s as strong as when her first song came out. I hope I’m like that, and I don’t lose my voice as I age.” That was a fear of hers, that by the time she was sixty she wouldn’t be able to single as powerful as she could now. “Paul McCartney is another one. I’m just not sure I would be lucky enough to perform with him. I’m just lucky that I got to meet him all the times I have.” Sabrina’s hands rested against his chest, but hearing her name she turned to greet someone who was walking up to them. “they do love the belle of the ball,” she aid as she spun back on her heels to look at Dylan. Her lips pressed together in a ifne line as she thought about his questions. “I don’t know,” she paused. She hadn’t thought about the plans or how she was going to spend time with everyone that night. “I guess turns. And yeah, you can be first since I’m already here.”
