Alex Garant, Recent Work from “Carousel.”
Stunning recent paintings by artist Alex Garant for her solo exhibition, “Carousel,” that was on view last month at Arch Enemy Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Several of the paintings are still available for purchasing.
As a pioneer of Contemporary Figurative Op Art, and reining Queen of Double Eyes, her oil paintings offer a graphic quality combined with traditional portrait techniques. Garant establishes herself as one of the leaders of analogue Glitch Art by using patterns, duplication of elements, symmetry and image superposition as key elements of her imagery. Her paintings are a reflection on human duality, the battle for self-definition between one’s inner self and outer persona.
You can follow her on Instagram, here.

crows have been documented holding ‘funerals’ for many years. however, researchers suggest that they may not be mourning; evidence indicates that crows may be examining the body & surrounding area for potential threats to the rest of the flock.

So it’s not a funeral…
…….it’s a fucking autopsy and criminal investigation.
You might even call it
a murder investigation.
