Nikki was glad to be back home, but Jamie wasn’t doing much of anything since they got home. It was understood, but after the last 2 months of doing everything on her own, and being super supportive, she could feel herself starting to break. She was excited that Sof wanted to come over, they could both share how they were helping their guys. She held Kayden on her hip and opened the door for her after her knocking. “Long time no see.” She laughed before smiling at her.
Sofia had been doing her best the two months she was alone but after going to Edmonton and seeing how things really were, scared her. Especially now that Tyler had told her the truth about his injuries, which was more than just an sprained wrist. Having a hard time swallowing the fact that he kept that from her, the league forcing him to play each series and the fact that the possibility of not one but multiple surgeries were on the horizon for her husband was all just too much and she needed to talk to someone who had been through this too. Walking down the street, just a few houses down from her own, she walked up to the door. Two homemade smoothies in hand a some freshly baked cookies for Kayden. “Hey.” Sofia smiled politely, looking at the baby for a split second. “Mind if we chat outside for a bit?”
