the hardest thing about making unicorn academy ocs is the fact we lowkey have no idea what non-retired non-academy-staff riders do with their lives. like ok they “protect the island” but throughout the og series and secrets revealed the teachers never really make it sound as though there’s anyone but them protecting the island? and miles was called out of retirement to do just that five years earlier which makes it sound like there’s a shortage of people doing that anyway. like are they guarding magical stuff are they looking after future riders with the fate fairies are they getting paid for any of this. tl;dr i am once again asking for ava’s graduate brothers to be introduced and stir some shit at the academy. valphia can’t be the only ones with problematic family members around here
