Inktober Day 10! The hooded figures, including the one who openly steals babies and, for some inexplicable reason, we all let him do it.

Day 9 Inktober: The Man in the Tan Jacket. Ok, so I gave him a lilac coat, but it’s ok I’m an artist. Also you won’t remember who he is after seeing this so it’s fine.

Day 8 of Inktober: Intern Maureen. She just wants college credit or whatever. Temporarily led the army of strangers who don’t seem to move but are suddenly much closer than they were before.

Day 7 of Inktober: A benevolent 10 ft tall being named Erika who is definetly NOT AN ANGEL. Angels, as we all know, do not exist. In fact, it is illegal to acknowledge the existence of angels.

Finally posting Day 5 of Inktober! This is the fourth attempt I made to draw Michelle from dark owl records who is cooler than like all of you and God are you still listening to that song you started 5 minutes ago? Like everyone else has already moved on. Where have you been?

Drew this one in my style after the first few failed attempts. Also I gave her these awesome headphones that I want really bad. They’re the oil slick Taylor headphones by Frends. They’re so pretty!

Finally uploading Day One of Inktober! My theme for this month is Welcome To Nightvale and I’m starting out strong with the Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home.

Study of a pear. Trying to do more still life’s with diffused light rather than direct light. Also I think I should eat that pear. It is probably 1 day away from inedible, haha.

This one feels a little too personal to post but I guess all of my work is deeply personal, so whatever...

I've been struggling recently with what I want to say in my art and feeling like no one can really connect with the abstract feelings that direct most of my work. However, after a whole day of failing to draw anything of worth, I realized that whether or not everyone understands isn't as important to me as reaching the few who do understand but think they are alone in how they feel.

Little Hermit Crab study!

So glad to do a new painting! I was swamped finishing everything for my show and for my degree. Finally done and moving on to a new part of my life. Hasn't really sunk in yet, haha.

Portrait Study. ~2.5 hours, digital painting. For this one I tried to create a pink and blue color scheme that wasn't in the original reference. Very hard to picture color shifts when you are not painting it exactly as it is in front of you.
