WHERE: twilight apothecary WHO: @culpeos
“Do you seriously not have anyone better to go and irritate on a Friday night? That doesn’t bode well for the state of your social life.” Cas folded his arms, rounding on the shapeshifter trailing behind him with a flick of one sharp eyebrow. “If anything breaks, you’re buying.”
what are you most afraid of?
"The worst thing that could ever happen to me already did, babe. I guess... that this is forever and the curse is unbreakable: I'll never know magic again."
modern arcana. a cas dragoumis soundtrack.
milaxseo:
mila stood over a big log with it’s roots all in the air, peeking inside for anything new to discover. she was so used to finding all sorts of foliage and things for different medicines and remedies. the boots on her feet were covered in mud and water from walking around in the creek earlier; small amounts of water had soaked in through the fabric and around the tongue of the boot. there was a certain smell she was tracing but she couldn’t exactly locate what it was. it wasn’t something she needed, but something definitely not on her usual hunt.
slowly mila moved to crawl inside the trunk, using her flashlight to look inside. “what the hell is this stuff?” she questioned out loud to herself. “it seems like horrific,” then she wiggled her way back out. the sap all over her skin and clothes, the smell coming off in waves. finally she heard the sound of something walking close by and tried to wipe off some of the gunk on her with some wipes from her bag so she’d look.. somewhat decent. “jesus, this stuff is horrible.”
caspian spent the majority of his time in waders with a pocketful of lichen or moss, a simple part of running the apothecary. a small bucket dangled from the backpack he had on as he tramped through the brush toward the slightly distressed sounding voice, a simple locator spell tugging lightly on his pinky finger in the direction of his cabin.
“it’s... pungent. if you just find yourself a nearby living ponderosa pine and give the bark a whiff the scent is sometimes compared to vanilla.” cas removed several implements from a toolbelt at his waist and began extracting a few samples casually, hair askew with debris from the forest around them. “sap is what amber is made of when the resin is fossilized, it’s quite revered in many places and useful though the damp has had an interesting effect on the smell and consistency.”
apollodwsn:
LOCATION: APOLLO DAWSON’S APARTMENT.
“Alright, you want to tell me why you were knockin’ on my damn door at two in the morning, or am I goin’ to play personal chef for you?” The forty-three year old begins, not before handing the figure on his couch a steaming mug of tea — extra honey.
Apollo acted as though he was perturbed, even a little frustrated with the person in front of him, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. In fact, he was glad that he was woken up from his restless slumber; a horror movie marathon had unsettled him and left him thinking the worst about what could happen to his family, his daughter. If it hadn’t been for the body sitting on his couch, he would have probably spooked himself out by now.
“Well? I don’t have all day — er, night. Whatever.”
Cas swayed in the seat like he was trying to back up, binding arm clutched to his side by the other one like a broken wing. He rallied sending a sharp, bitchy look up at the Detective who was suddenly doing a less stellar job of being intimidating.
The man appeared soft looking in PJs with a washed face, ready for bed, while Caspian felt more akin to one of the raccoons that congregated near his trashcans with dark smears of something on his jaw and fingers, the same clothes he’d put on that morning. Yet they both had something slightly feral around the eyes. He blinked, stupefied by the kindness of the hot mug being placed into his frigid digits before breaking into a watery smile.
“Some kids probably... probably just some kids Officer, you know, messing with the cabin?” Messing with me. He shrinks in around the mug, letting the steam hit his chin like a contented cat.
do you have any pets?
"Scout is a Siberian Husky and Alaskan Malamute mix so she's too smart for her own good. Bastet is my grumpy old man cat with three legs, Baz aka Bastard. Pirate Trashmouth is my favourite raccoon, he's missing an eye but he doesn’t technically live here. Oh! Since we’re just coming out of spring there’s a bird’s nest up on the cabin and I’m keeping an eye on the chicks."

Are you a top or bottom?
“Not brave enough to find out for yourself? In that case, it isn’t really any of your business, is it. I‘m... versatile.”
Do you have a crush on anyone?
What is an instant turn-off for you during sex?
"I don't care if your feet get cold, take off your socks or I swear by Hecate’s torches I will find a way to make sure turning you into a toad isn’t just a myth."
what is your biggest flaw?
Cas waves his bandaged hand obnoxiously in their face before responding properly.
“My propensity to accidentally cause explosions in the workshop, I suppose. I’ve had to add extra warding to the foundation beams of the cabin, it took me six weeks.”
