Straight Strike Blog Post #2
Hey all!
Since the last post I’ve been working on various different assets for our game, our area layout is reaching its final design and our programmer has started to implement object interactivity. While creating the assets I didn’t really come across any problems. Just getting used to using Maya and it’s tool. I had some issues with certain faces, it was mostly when I cut away faces to remove excess polygons. This left holes in the models and the program didn’t like when I tried to bridge a new face in. I should look into this more because I’m not sure why it’s like that. I know that adding geometry is easier and better than removing geometry.
Here are some images of the assets, I have created. They’re ready for textures!
I have some previous knowledge with UV unwrapping, but not in Maya. So I’m going to delve into this topic once I get the rest of the assets finished. I started to place the objects into our Unity scene so that our programmer can get started on making sure all the objects are interact-able. In the image, you can see we have some Asset Store Assets in the scene where we’ve been toying with object interactions.
I’m hoping I’ll have some textures ready by next blog post.
