@cashling
this made me laugh a lot more than it shouldâve
âForgive me Father for I have sinnedâ and âSorry Daddy Iâve been badâ both mean very similar things but have wildly different connotations
Does the collar ever get uncomfortable?
"Oh most definitely. Very itchy and in the way."
Cashling: "I know your scared of my mother, but contemplating arson isn't the way to fix it."
âWhat? Your family canât meet me in Iâm in prison! Seriously though, why do you insist on showing me to your parents? Donât they know youâre not supposed to be seeing people? I thought we had to keep things secretâŚâ
Cashâs face soften as he steps closer, going to cup her face in his hands. He lifts up her face, wiping her tears as best as he can with his thumbs. âHey now... I know you. You wouldnât be rude.â His voice was kind and reassuring, loving. âYouâre such a perfectionist.. You go above and beyond, in everything you do... So I doubt youâd ruin anything at all.â
Do you reserve kisses only for your romantic conquests? Would you kiss another person while dating someone if it wasn't romantic?
âI donât see why I wouldnât. Kisses arenât a big deal, yah? I don't see the issue with platonic kisses."
Why did you break up with Calvin?
"Who said I broke up with him?"
Youâre just anxious. We just have to get you to relax a little, okay?

âHey, heyâŚâ Cash says, voice hushed, brows knit together slightly. He rubs her shoulders softly. âItâs⌠hmâŚâ He hadnât meant to do this⌠heâd just wanted her to meet his parents⌠he hadnât thought sheâd react like this. âItâll be okayâŚâ is all he can manage to say. âYouâre just⌠youâre overreacting.â
Cali looks offended, breaking away from Cash with a furious pout.
âOverreacting? Youâre telling someone with social anxietyâŚwell, anxiety in general, that theyâre just overreacting? I know I canât handle situations most people would be unaffected by. I know I donât pick up on social cues or know how to act in front of people. I know people can be put off by me and not want anything to do with me. I justâŚI just want this night to be perfect. Not even for me, but for you. I donât know if Iâd be able to live with myself if I ruined this night for you and your family, made a fool out of myself and embarrassed you for having me as a girlfriendâŚyâknow? I just donât want to screw this up like I usually screw things up.â
Her expression is now more sad than angry, glancing away.
âIf I screw this up, I could lose you. I love you too much to fail you, even if I have fifty panic attacks in this house tonight.â
Okay maybe "overreacting" wasn't the right word to use. He realizes that as soon as he says it, flinching back. He frowns, lowering his hand. His expression softens. "You won't lose me..."
Cashling: "I know your scared of my mother, but contemplating arson isn't the way to fix it."

Do you have a tail?
"You bet your ass I do."

âAh weâre staying,â Cash says, noticing Caliâs change in demeanor. He sort of frowns. âIâm gonna show Cali the guest room then,â He tells his mom. She smiles and nods. âOf course, dear! Take your time!â Cash nods, taking Caliâs hand to lead her back into the hallway.
Itâs settledâŚtheyâre staying. Cali only stiffens even more when she hears this, knowing there was only more of a chance this wasnât going to end well. She starts to feel dizzy until Cash leads her into the hallway. Waiting for the bobcat to get to wherever he wanted to go, the spaniel takes deep breaths to try to relax.
Cash turns to her once they're out of sight. He's frowning, but he isn't upset. He puts his hands on her shoulders. "Are you okay?"
Cashling: "I know your scared of my mother, but contemplating arson isn't the way to fix it."

If your parents had given you a middle name starting with F, your initials would be KFC.
((Anon, I'm going to eat you))

âYah. Big sister,â He tells her. âTheyâre inseparable,â his mother tells Cali. âJust two peas in a pod!â She sets the plates on the counter top. âNow where is your father⌠I told him not to go wandering off with you two coming so soon.â
âAwww!â Caliâs still in a good mood despite being a little anxious until she hears about Cashâs father. All she really knew about him was whatever her boyfriend had mentioned on their first date, but it was enough to strike fear within her.
Cash could tell she was anxious. He tilts his head to the side, giving her side a squeeze. "How is dad?" He asks. "Your father?" She asks. She rolls her eyes, smiling. "As he always is. Constantly overworking himself." She looks to the two. "Do you two plan on spending the night?"

I KNOW what I really am.
( just a KILLER, looking for an excuse. )
but itâs better than not needing one.

He cracks a smile. "He's just a kid," He tells her. "More into his games than people really. Don't take it personally if he seems uninterested in you... now, Rachel. Rachel's gonna love you. Hey mom- where IS Rach?" He calls. "Hm?" His mother glances back, mid pulling down some plates down from the cabinet. "Ah, she ran to the store real quick! I'm sure she'll be back in a few minutes though.'
