I think what’s different about the way people support LGB rights vs T rights has to do with how much they can remove themselves from the problem. A cis Herero liberal can post a rainbow picture in support and be done with it, but accepting transness involves looking at the self and your own gendered behavior, and it’s not as simple as vague internet ally ship. That their gender isn’t essential or preordained as their gender and there isn’t a massive separation between their decision and the decision trans people made. Also, for a straight cis person to support LGB people is simple as their heterosexuality doesn’t come into question, but involvement with a trans person means broadening what gender means and how to reconsider what makes a person who they say they are and working past it without being fuxking babies about it and making it about them of placing the responsibility of working through it on their trans partner and TBH they’re fuxking lazy and boring
