This might seem silly, but Ian being on this season of big brother, and talking about his autism means a lot to me. I am also on the spectrum, and I grew up watching big brother. Ian was always one of my favorite players and seeing someone who I looked up too go through the same struggles as me means a lot, and I just feel like I can relate to him. I don’t talk about my autism a lot but I feel like Ian being open about his experience definitely inspires me. I love Ian that’s all.

I know many here don’t care about reality tv and the people who do are probably pissed because what they did in bachelor in paradise is bending so many rules, but what we all really should care about is that thanks to Demi and Kristian thousands and thousands of conservative households are seeing in their extremely straight dating show

an emotional wlw reunion

genuine pure gay happiness 

the rest of the people on the show being happy for them and being extremely supportive while recognising the difficulty of coming out

a super romantic wlw date, during which they discuss their issues and obstacles respectfully without any extra drama

some skillful flirting which includes discussing how much they missed each other’s eyes

and then literally over a minute of this 

So what i’m trying to say here is that this is a win for the gays and history has been made, but even more importantly, there’s now one less “safe space” for people who refuse to leave their heteronormative bubble.
