2015 ASU Grad: Richelle Robins
Richelle and I shot for about an hour before sunset (6-7pm) and the results were amazing! We had fun with outfit changes and the locations around ASU.
She's graduating from the W.P. Carey school so we made sure to get pictures by the school as well as the classic portraits by Old Main!
Richelle was so fun to work with and I can't wait to see what she does next!

The Dogfather hot dog stand offers $4 meals, regular weekday hours and the chance for owner Kevin Isherwood to support his family.
Here's a profile story of a hot dog vendor in downtown Phoenix. It was fun to write and really reminded me of why I love Phoenix.
The rain was over by the 8 p.m. concert, but the downpour set the scene for the Saturday night’s show at the Crescent Ballroom, headlining bands Wolf Gang and Sir Sly with opener Secret Someones.

Photo Rewind. (September 27, 2014) I attended the Wolf Gang, Sir Sly and Secret Someone's concert at the Crescent Ballroom.
The people at the Crescent Ballroom were largely unhelpful in getting me a good spot to photograph as I am under 21 and wasn't allowed into the bleachers area to take pictures. But I did manage to hoist myself onto a barricade that separated the 21+ crowd from the 16 and over one. They eventually told me to get down, but I did manage to go most of the concert on the railing, snapping pics as my butt went numb.
The best lighting was from Secret Someones, as they used white lighting. Sir Sly and Wolf Gang both used fog machines which lowered contrast and blue and red lights which blew out their skin tones.
Overall, it was a fun concert with some emerging bands. I am constantly practicing my concert photography. Let me know what you think!

The city of Phoenix will start issuing fines for its new parking meter hours, which were effective Aug. 18. While downtown visitors are upset at the change, business owners are not as concerned. Read story
