hey guys! so I was just wondering how you all would feel if I moved Belle to a multimuse? because my muse for her has been hella low for a while now and there’s also some new characters I’d like to try out, so I’m thinking of just conden- sing all but one of my non-Buffyverse muses to one place.
MR. GOLD:
As soon as she said the words he knew, he could see it. Oh Gods Belle wanted him back. He could see that in her eyes. If you asked him a year ago he would have wanted nothing more then to show her that hope was possible now that was the farthest from his mind. He loved Belle more then anything and he would always love her, but his heart didn’t belong to her. A piece of it always would but it would be beating for someone else now.
He sighed. He didn’t want to break her heart, that was the last thing he wanted. After all that he did to her this would be the final straw. Would there be no end to his evil deeds?
Her pause was killing him. Why wouldn’t she just say it. Say that she wanted him, cause if that was any indication he knew that was on her mind. He couldn’t bare to break her heart not again.
So Rumple stood still his breathing heavy as he waited for her to speak. When she finally said the next words, he felt the wind knocked out beneath him for a moment. For a moment he wasn’t sure if he was hurt or surprised, perhaps it was a bit of both. If he was going to move on, he was relived Belle was too.
“Funny thing is I’ve also been seeing someone. Its complicated to say the least, not sure how to take it that level. As you know I’m not good on the romantic front.”
“Oh.”
To say Belle was surprised would be an understatement. She was glad to hear this news, of course, because the fact that they both moved on would only help both of them to repair their b r o k e n relationship and at least make amends, but it was the last answer she had expected to hear. Not after how hard he had held on to her all these years, how it had taken her forcing him over the line for them to FINALLY let go.
Now she couldn’t help but wonder who it was. Since they had parted, Belle had been so caught up in her own romance with Ruby that she had barely paid any attention to Rumplestiltskin’s life for the past year - so who knew who this person could be?
“That-- - that’s good. Truly, I’m glad for you. Are they someone I know...?”

She takes a deep breath. It’s never been easy for Regina to express her feelings –– or to admit that she’s wrong about anything. Yet here she stands.
“Well ever since the curse ended, I’ve been trying to change. To prove to Henry that I’m not still…evil.” The word tastes bitter on her tongue. “I’ve been going over everything I have done, and I realized that I owe you one HELL of an apology.”
To say she’s surprised would be an understatement. Sure, Belle has seen the changes in Regina as much as anyone else, but an apology was the last thing she expected from the same woman who had used her (and so many others) simply as the means to an end.
...Then again, this world has changed them all, hasn’t it?
“You’re right; you do.”
That’s all she’s willing to add, until she hears what the other woman has to say.

MR. GOLD:
It was a simple question, one that you would ask someone who hadn’t seen in ages. But right now, it certainly hadn’t felt like ages. It was fresh in his mind if it had just happened yesterday.
Rumple could feel the cold wind on his face, the cold harsh words as she cried out him and he once again trying to get out of his problems with words. As soon as he fell over that line he knew they were done for, finished. But a piece of his heart let him hope that someday he would find his way back to her and they could be together. Now he wished he never held such hope.
He could tell from the expressions on her face and the way she stood that Belle had not intention of taking him back. And right now that was okay. For circumstances changes, his heart it found a new home at least he hoped it would. A very unlikely place, but somewhere he hoped it would remain a long time. Right now he didn’t have the heart to tell her. But if this conversation was any indication it would seem Belle was not interested in trying again.
“As well as I can be” he said simply.
“Have—-are you doing okay yourself?” he asked his breathe shaky.
She watched him carefully as he spoke, bright blue eyes sharply taking in his short breaths and defeated expression. It was obvious now that he had held some sort of hope for them reuniting; a small part of her felt a pang of remorse for dashing those hopes, but the rest was flooded with renewed relief that they had finally split. No matter how awkward things now were between them, it was still so much better than the alternative: both of them ending up stuck in an unhappy relationship. Belle was happier now than she had been in a long time, and she hoped for Rumplestiltskin’s sake that he would find something (or someone) else that made him feel the same.
“I… I’ve been well, yeah.”
She paused there, hesitating, her next words on the tip of her tongue before continuing. Belle wasn’t sure how he would take what she had to say, but she wanted him to hear this from her, not anyone else.
“I, um, don’t know if you’ve heard yet, but - I’ve actually been seeing someone for a few months, now.”
RED:
She doesn’t want to talk, mostly because, at that moment in time, her throat feels as if it’s closing in on itself, and she’s certain the tears are going to be prominent soon enough. She has to run. Running always helps her out when she has too extreme of an emotion running through her; it probably isn’t the best way to deal with things, but she’s done it for years. Red stops, mostly because she has no other choice, and holds her teeth tightly onto her lower lip as if that’s going to help her out.

❝ But it does matter. Of course it matters! ❞
Once she sees that Ruby isn’t about to flee she lets her hand go, widening the space between the two of them as her own arm drops back to her side. The tension between them is tangible enough that she could cut it with a knife, but Belle still presses on regardless. She can’t let Red just walk away like this; not when she knows that the outcome of doing so will certainly lead to nothing but unnecessary heartbreak and tears for the lupine beauty. But, gods, she hadn’t meant to do this, not after Red had laid bare her heart. She hadn’t meant to trample on it. She doesn’t WANT to trample on it.
