Youâre just playing hard to get, thatâs all. Itâs okay to say you enjoy having me around.
Hard to get, huh? We can go with that. You do keep things interesting, I'll give you that.
Locks on Lockers || Noah & Cassidy
School was never really a drag for Noah; it was more like a social for him. He we was always that asshole in the back of class who wouldnât stop talking to his friends, but no one really minded him much. And since the last huge stunt he pulled, he hasnât been pulling any pranks or accomplishing any risky dares like he has before. It was more of the smaller, dumb things like turtling backpacks while his classmates were in the bathroom or messing with his teachersâ things while they were away. Safe to say, it wasnât anything that sent him to the principals office, which he was happy of since he had more time on his hands to see people in between classes.Â
After he left his second block, he met up with Jace and they decided to roam the hallways instead of actually going to lunch. That was until Noahâs eyes saw a certain blonde girl at her locker. He quickly ditched his friend and ignored the remarks coming from behind him, waving his hand dismissively in return. Licking his lips, he leaned against the lockers next to him and smirked at the girl in front of him. âHey, babe,â he greeted, trying to be as smooth as possible. He noticed she wasnât taking any of it today, but that didnât bother himâ he just followed in her direction. âWhatâs got you so down today?â he asked, easily catching up with her. âIs there any way I can get you in the mood?â he asked with a chuckle;
Although she never wanted to talk to people at school, Cassidy always appreciated Noah's attempts to. Not that she would ever tell him that though. "I'm pretty sure this is always my mood at school," she countered, trying to end the conversation even though she knew Noah wouldn't let it go. Heading for the double doors that lead to parking lot, she grimaced at his comment. "Gross. Is that all you think about?" she wondered aloud, pushing through the doors. "Oh wait, you're a sixteen-year-old boy, so of course that's all that's on your mind," she ranted, walking quickly across the lot. Playing the age card was the easiest thing to get Noah off his game, but it was pretty much the only card she could play. Sadly they had a lot in common from what she knew about the kid. The reckless and the rebel; what a pair.
Stopping at her '98 Honda Civic, she stared at him. There wasn't really anyway to get rid of him. She didn't want to be rude to him, but she also didn't really want to hang out with him. So as she threw her messenger bag into the back seat, she left it up to him. "I'm going to Jack-in-the-Box for lunch. Give me one good reason why I should let you come with me?" she asked, a smirk finding it's way onto her face.Â
Have my words left you speechless again, baby girl?
They actually left me sort of nauseated, but we can go with speechless if you want.
Tell me how it works out. Some days I might need them, too.
I'd tell you, if I got them, but I think they're expensive. And it'd be hard to do normal stuff with 'em...But they say "Don't knock it, 'till you've tried it", right?
Itâs actually a clever idea. If we lived in a more crime-ridden area, I would actually reconsider the trend.
Or if you just wanted to scared people away from talking to you. Maybe I do want freaky long claws after all.Â
Who knows? All I know is that you donât need them since youâre already hot.
Oh my god, Noah...
I don't even know what to say to you.
Iâd actually be terrified to fight someone with nails like that. They could gouge straight through flesh if wielded properly.
Maybe that's why there so popular...everyone want to have a weapon right on their nails.Â
I canât say Iâm a fan of the trend myself. They seem a bit dangerous to me.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'd poke my eye out. I guess they'd be useful in a fight though.
Why do girls get those really long, fake nails? I never understood that style.

Locks on Lockers || Noah & Cassidy
The worst part about having to retake her senior year was probably economics. It was like math meets history meets money. Cassidy was not very good with any of those things. Most people thought she had an unfair advantage since it was her second time taking it, but unfortunately that would only apply if she actually showed up the first time around. Thankfully, the bell for lunch released her from her agony. Â
Dragging herself to her locker, she shoved her economics book into her locker and ran her fingers over her notebooks. Like almost all of her classes, she dreaded her next class: chemistry. Pulling out the red notebook, she started to shut her locker. That was until she saw Noah Alder and Jace Levine walking down the hallway. Hiding her head in her locker, she hoped that they would both pass and Noah wouldn't drop by to make his normal comments. Cassidy wasn't in the mood to put up with Noah's pick up lines today. Hiding her face with her the locker, Cassidy could only pray that Noah didn't noticed herâalthough she was fairly sure he knew that this was her locker.Â
To her annoyance, Noah leaned himself up against the locker on her left, unshielded side. "I'm not in the mood today, Noah," she said bitterly, shutting her locker and walking in the other direction.Â
Like what? Iâm curious and youâre not giving me a straightforward answer.
Well, why are you asking so many questions? I'm trying to be nice, but it's starting to get to me.
Yeah? And whatâs taking up all your time, babe?
I'm a busy bee, Noah! I'm doing lots of things.
Just because Iâm too young for you? Thatâs a shit answer, honestly.
Well, I think it's a great one. I'm also not interested in having a boyfriend right now. I just don't have the time.Â
Do you think itâs weird because of the things people might say about us?
I think it's weird because it is weird. People would says lots of things...but we don't need to worry about that because it's not happening.Â
Three years isnât that bad, Cass, and you know that.
But when you're a sophomore and I'm a repeating senior...it's a bit weird.
