what makes you interested in Cassie’s clothes? Do you just like how they look, or is it because you like her as a character? If so, what are your favorite and least favorite aspects of her? Do you relate to Cassie or her life at all?

So full disclosure, I started this account over a decade ago, so my relationship to Cassie and her clothes has changed a lot over the years. When I started it, I related to Cassie and I loved the clothes she wore, but I was having trouble figuring out how to recreate her style myself. I started this account so I could document all of her different outfits and try to figure out what made her style give the vibe that it does and what other outfits might fit into that same category. Now a big part of why I run this account is nostalgia; I don't really dress like Cassie or relate to her that much anymore, but I'll always have a fondness for her as a character and for her looks.

since tumblr seems to be dying (or at least slowing down/not in its prime anymore), have you thought about making an instagram account for Cassie’s clothes? Those kind of accounts seem to do pretty well over there, and I think it would help your exposure!

Probably not, just because I don't have that much more to say about her style. There are a couple of Skins adjacent projects that I'd love to do on other platforms, and I'm trying to get those up and running, but for now I'm just answering questions on here.

I don’t remember if Cassie’s name is actually Cassandra (I believe it is and was said at some point, maybe when she was in treatment or in Pure?, but I’m not TOTALLY sure when or even if), but I really don’t think her middle name is ever said. What do you think it would be/what would fit her best?

Yes! Her real name is Cassandra. Michelle's mom says it in Cassie's series 1 episode.

This is a bit of a boring answer, but her mother's name is Margeritte, So I could see her being Cassandra Margeritte Ainsworth. I could also see a classic English name, like Florence, Alice, Grace, Rose, Cecilia. And Louise was the most popular middle name the year Cassie was born, so it's possible she's Cassandra Louise.

I still run it! I switched the URL to uncloseted.tumblr.com without realizing that someone was going to squat on my old URL before I had the chance to set up a redirect link.

What do you think Cassie religion is?

I think she's agnostic, although I don't know if she would say that herself. She doesn't seem to be particularly religious, but I also don't think she'd rule out the possibility that there's a higher power of some sort. I could also see her being into some "spiritual but not religious" things like crystals or tarot.

Where do u think Cassie would shop for clothes?

I think in-story, most of her clothes are meant to be vintage, resale, or things that she made herself. The costume designer said that, "Cassies clothes are from all over the place ! Her style is a mixture of amazing vintage pieces, charity shop finds, vintage designer stuff and high street sale stuff (normally the things no one else wants ! )". So if you want a style like hers, I would definitely check out any charity shops in your area or even search through places like eBay. And then for the pieces she has that were from high street shops, H&M and Topshop seem to be the most common, so I would look there as well.

If Cassie was to date any other character from the show that isn’t Sid who would it be?

I think Cassie/Tony would have been interesting to watch, but I think her best match is probably either JJ or Alo.

Do u think Sid and Cassie would be a good couple?

I liked them together a lot when I was a teenager and there's a part of me that still does now. But ultimately, I think Cassie needs someone who sees the world as a place that can be magical the way she does. She needs someone who will commit to her and who knows what they want and who has a direction in life. And I think Sid, for his part, needs someone who needs less and is okay with him being kind of bumbling and just trying to get through things. Sid can’t give Cassie what she wants, even though he really wishes he could. He tries so hard to figure out the right thing to say but in the end he just doesn’t know what she wants to hear. And so I think they both would end up kind of disappointed in the long term.

What do you think Cassie’s favorite color would be?

On her e4 profile, she says that she likes “colors of the heart”- yellow, orange, red, and pink.

what music did cassie listen to / would listen to?

On her e4 profile she says: “I like David Bowie – space odditty, wow. The Cure. Bright Eyes, Death Cab for Cutie, Emmy The Great, Joanna Newsom (she sounds like an elf, she plays the harp. She’s the closest to magical a human can be). Hot Chip (for dancing dancing dancing!)”

We also see that she likes rap, particularly Ludacris, in her Series 1 episode.

I think in general she likes music and musicians that have an interesting, sort of strange quality about them.

I'm still here! People don't message me very often on this blog, so I don't post as often. I'm also more active on my other blog, Uncloseted/Effy's Closet if you want to come hang out :)

Do you think Cassie has humanitarian beliefs , or do you think she's become too jaded by the end of Pure?

I think Cassie has always wanted people to love her more than she has actually cared about other people, and so even when she does good things for them, it's kind of self-serving. I think at the end of Pure, she finally learns through looking after her brother what it's like to love someone without any expectation of how they'll treat her. Because of that, she's matured to the point where I think she could become someone who actually has very humanitarian beliefs and really does work to improve the lives of others.

Do you think Cassie would like Kaiwai things or the kaiwai aesthetic?

I do! On her e4 profile, she says that, "I like foreign packaging on snack foods. And Japanese toys," "I’ll go to Japan and take photos of all the beautiful sushi. What an album that would make!," and "My favourite book is Kitchen by Banana Yoshimoto," so she seems to like Japanese culture in general at the very least.

Doesn't Cassie wear jeans for a scene in or around Chris' episode in season 2? I swear I remember seeing her wear a pair prior to Pure

You're right! She wears them in series 2, episode 9 once she gets to New York.

could you see cassie studying graphics at university since she loves very pretty things and she’d find it fun to design shapes and texts and images all day long?

Maybe! But I feel like the show implies that she was planning to study an academic subject at university, probably philosophy.

Would you say Cassie is messy and unorganised

The opposite, I think. We know that she organises and tidies to feel in control of her environment.
