Hi guys! It would mean the world to me if you would check out my Kylo Ren x Reader slow-burn, it’s on Ao3 and Wattpad. It’s my first Star Wars fanfiction so there will probably be lots of inaccuracies, so please let me know if you see any! I’ve been working really hard on it for the past few months, so it would seriously make me very very happy if you would take the time to read and leave a like or a comment. Really, anything helps!

Request: Can I have a Daenerys x Fem! Reader please? Reader is very artistic and interested in Danny’s dragons so she tries to get close to them and they’re chill about her climbing all over them? And Danny notices she’s missing only to see she’s just with her dragons?
Warnings: None
Pairing: Daenerys x Reader
A/N: I loved writing this because I love drawing her dragons. Made it a bit personal for me, which I thank you for!
The dragons eyed you warily as you tried to sneak up to them, holding your leather-bound drawing book in one hand. You’d never been this close to them before. It was one thing to sketch them flying above the ocean, but to get up close and personal was a whole different thing entirely.
You peeked around the rock you hid behind and took in a deep breath. Drogon’s snout was inches away from your face. He seemed amused at your reaction, blowing hot air from his nostrils before he moved to the side so Viserion could come to investigate you as well.
They were gorgeous. Even more so up close. At the same time though, you couldn’t help but feel intimidated. Not only were they beautiful, but they were massive. Your entire body could fit in the smallest one's mouth with wiggle room.
“I hope you don’t mind,” You struggled to sound confident, “If I sit here for a while.” Reaching behind you for the rock you found nothing, instead falling on your bottom in the grass.
Drogon and Viserion both made chirping noises, shifting around to make themselves comfortable on the grassy field. If dragons could laugh, that’s what it’d sound like.
Soon after you settled and opened your book Rhaegal came over to see what the fuss was about, appearing much less interested than his other siblings.
After a while of rough sketches, you decided in order to make something you’d be satisfied with you’d have to get closer. Surprisingly enough the dragons had no problem with that, nor with you climbing onto them. At first, you were a bit nervous, but when you were on them they didn’t move around much since they knew you’d never been on a dragon before so one wrong move would have you tumbling to the ground.
You were just finishing up a rather large portrait of the three dragons when their mother approached. She had been looking for you for quite a while now and was checking the last place she thought you’d be.
Seeing you up there on her dragons made her smile. Not a lot of people adored her children the way she did, and almost no one would ever dare to climb on them without her around.
“(Y/N)?’ She called out with her voice like honey, smiling up at you. “How long have you been here? I’ve been looking for you.”
You looked over Viserion’s head to her and grinned. “I have no idea, the time goes by quickly with them. What did you need me for?”
She walked closer to her dragons and stopped at Drogon, reaching a hand up to stroke his chin. “A boat arrived with loads of fruit, some I’ve never even seen before. I thought you might be interested.”
“You know me very well, Khaleesi!” You laughed as you struggled to climb down from the dragon, using his scales and horns to help you. When your feet touched the ground she caught a glimpse of your art, gasping playfully and reaching out to it.
“You’ve been drawing my children? Well, let me see them.” She grabbed for the book and for a second you pulled away, you couldn’t help but put up a pathetic fight. You knew though that if anyone were to see your drawings it would be her.
“Alright. They’re not very good, I’m afraid.” You handed her the book and she flipped through a few pages, her lips turning into a smile at some and frowning at others.
“This one is so sad,” She moved closer to you and pointed at a portrait of a woman you had done a long time ago. She was an older woman you had seen in Westeros, a poor commoner in Flea-Bottom. She was skinny, starved to the bone, cradling a small child. Her daughter had been killed and she was left to take care of her grandson on her own.
You nodded and sighed, remembering the awful sight. “It was awful. There was nothing I could do but give her the gold I had on me. It wasn’t enough… I wished I could have bought her a house of her own and food for the rest of her life. It was only enough to secure her a stay at the local in for a while and feed the two of them, but… It still didn’t feel right.”
Daenerys looked at you with a soft smile. “That’s more than most people would do. You probably saved her life, and the child's.” When you nodded back she continued flipping through the pages, stopping on one of the more recent pictures.
Her lips parted and she looked at you, a brow raised. “You’ve drawn me? And you never showed me this?”
“Like I said, Khaleesi.” You chuckled and scratched the back of your neck nervously. “They’re not very good.”
“You artists are all the same. You think your beautiful drawings are awful, but to everyone else they’re amazing. I can’t even think of the right words to describe this.” After she spoke she looked back down to the pages and smiled. “I demand you draw more.” She thrust the book back into your hands with a grin.
“Oh, do you?” You laughed at her playful mannerism and tucked your book and pencils back into your satchel, closing its button.
“I do. An official order from your Queen. Tonight, in my chambers, you’ll draw me again.” Her words made your heart leap and your stomach flutter.
In an attempt to hide your blush you dipped your head and scratched your cheeks, humming in response. “I’ll see you then, Khaleesi.”
Daenerys smiled widely and shook her head, you were so adorable to her it hurt her heart. “Yes, you will.”
When she walked away you turned around and gasped, coming face to face with three nosey dragons.
Right so I’ve watched the Jon and Dany scene from 8x06 a few times now and I’m 100% convinced that is was originally Jaime and Cersei.
So there are some parts that obviously wouldn’t work for Jaime and Cersei such as the ‘break the wheel’, substitute that for ‘rule the world’ and wanting to make the world good, both Jaime and Cersei know thats not Cersei’s intention but everything else fits like a glove.
Jon: I saw them executing Lannister prisoners in the street, they said they were acting on your orders.
Dany: It was necessary.
Jon: Necessary? Have you been down there? Have you seen? Children, little children. Burned!
Dany: I tried to make peace with Cersei. She used their innocence as a weapon against me. She thought it would cripple me.
Jon: And Tyrion?
Dany: He conspired behind my back, with my enemies. How have you treated the people who’ve done the same to you? Even when it broke your heart?
Jon: Forgive him.
Dany: I cant.
Jon: You can. You can forgive all of them. Make them see they made a mistake. Make them understand. Please Dany.
Okay so if you substitute ‘Lannister soldiers’ for ‘unsullied soldiers’ and ‘Cersei’ for ‘Daenerys’, this fits Jaime and Cersei absolutely perfectly. Cersei claiming it was necessary, Jaime talking about the innocents being burned (Mad King call back to ‘burn them all’?) but I think the thing about this that stands out the most is the Tyrion line.
Dany: He conspired behind my back, with my enemies. How have you treated the people who’ve done the same to you? Even when it broke your heart?
This right here is the most Cersei Lannister thing I have ever read. Even using emotional manipulation to get what she wants. I can literally imagine her saying this line now. This feels really similar to how she talked about Tyrion to Jaime in 7x05 and how she spoke to Tyrion in 7x07
Dany: You cant hide behind small mercies. The world we need won’t be build by men loyal to the world we have.
Jon: The world we need is a world of mercy. It has to be.
Dany: And it will be. It’s not easy to see something thats never been before. A good world.
Jon: How do you know? How do you know it will be good?
Dany: Because I know what is good. And so do you.
Some of this isn’t very Jaime and Cersei so has obviously been tweaked, but the way Jon is acting here is very Jaime, almost begging her to get her to see that she’s wrong.
Jon: I don’t.
Dany: You do. You’ve always known.
Jon: What about everyone else? All the other people who think they know what’s good?
Dany: They don’t get to choose. Be with me. Build the new world with me. This is our reason. It has been from the beginning. Since you were a little boy with a bastard’s name and I was a little girl who couldn’t count to twenty. We do it together. We break the wheel together.
Jon: You are my queen. Now and always.
This. This right here is the proof. ‘You’ve always known’. How does she know this they’ve know each other for five minutes. Cersei on the other hand will of course know everything about Jaime and is actually qualified to say this to him. Jon/Jaime asking about everyone else, really reminds me of the 7x05 scene where Jaime asks Cersei who she will say is the father of their baby. Now this:
Dany: They don’t get to choose. Be with me. Build the new world with me. This is our reason. It has been from the beginning. Since you were a little boy with a bastard’s name and I was a little girl who couldn’t count to twenty. We do it together. We break the wheel together.
Christ alive, did they really think we wouldn’t notice? ‘They don’t get to choose. Be with me’, This is Cersei and Jaime in a nutshell, think to 1x03 ‘until you and I are the only ones left in this world’. Jaime/Cersei has always been a ‘fuck everyone else we are the only ones that matter’ relationship, whereas Jon/Dany has been nothing like that, Jon always put his family first and they have been together for five minutes. ‘This is our reason’, what is? How does she know/think they have a reason? ‘It has been from the beginning.’ From the beginning of what? Their two month long relationship? ‘Since you were a little boy with a bastard’s name and I was a little girl who couldn’t count to twenty.’ Okay, so this makes absolutely no sense. Why is she talking about their childhoods? They didn’t even know each other existed until like last season so why would their reason, since childhood, be to rule together? Jon was never meant to rule, especially not from childhood. Ned hid his identity, lying to everyone, even his wife, to keep Jon safe. Ned Stark, the most honourable man in the world would tarnish his honour with a ‘bastard’ in order to protect Jon’s identity, but somehow this means Jon was meant to rule? With someone on the other side of the narrow sea? And it’s only been Dany’s ‘reason’ since Viserys died. Before that he was the one who was meant to reclaim the Iron Throne. So saying that their reason, from the beginning, was to rule together is straight up wrong. But you know what does make sense? Twins talking about their childhood. Especially the Lannister twins. That was always what they were meant to be, rulers. Cersei was always meant to be the queen and Jaime was always meant to be Lord of Castely Rock, thats what Tywin wanted for them. ‘We do it together. We break the wheel together.’ Except instead of ‘break the wheel’ it’s ‘rule the world’, that is so Cersei its unbelievable. Them being ‘together’ is the essence of Jaime and Cersei so if Jaime killed her after she says that, it would complete his arc that he’s had for the past 8 seasons, Cersei being a part of him and him finally putting and end to that and destroying that part of him.
Basically, I am 100% sure this scene was originally written for Jaime and Cersei and they changed it and I will never not be bitter about it.
Can’t wait for the northmen to start starving because there’s no food left and no one wants to trade with the isolationist kingdom that has done nothing for anyone else and welcomes no one into their land.
Can’t wait for the Dornish and Iron Islands to ally with each other and start a rebellion for their own independence because they don’t want to be ruled by a Stark boy.
Can’t wait for Bronn to run the Westerosi economy into the ground because he can’t do basic math.
Can’t wait for Bran to try and enforce any of his policies or fight back against rebellions without any proper military forces.
Can’t wait for a new power vacuum and game of thrones to begin once Bran gets old and dies because suddenly everyone can claw and fight for the spot.
pros:
- she would be queen!!!!!
- rhaegal and viserion would be alive
- missandei and jorah would be alive
- that cute dothraki guy would be alive
- she never would have that terrible time with those horrible northerns
- no fake, easy-manipulated stabbery boyfriend
cons:
- ???
Sansa Stark and Daenerys Targaryen as actual allies and not catty bitches.
Think about it;
Sansa is Lady of Winterfell. She’s pissed at Jon for bending the knee why? Because white men decided that she was going to be a lying, manipulative bitch. But imagine Sansa realizing the true reason why Jon bent the knee: it was a sure foot alliance with someone with a solid supply on dragonglass, a material that can defeat the Wights and the White Walkers, and with someone who had three dragons and lost one protecting her dorky idiot brother from the true enemies. Sansa doesn’t have to thank her, Dany had yet to earn her thanks, but Sansa’s smart; without Daenerys, her extra men and her two dragons, the North would fall in the first attack. Sansa’s seen a lot of strategists, she saved Jon in the Battle of the Bastards, she knows the price of war. Instead of being a bitch, Sansa decides to ask for independence if Dany agrees, to her, to help. Dany, who’s fighting for the North, for the Iron Throne and for Jon most of all, agrees. They defeat the Night’s King and his army and then, together, they defeat Cersei. Dany, who has given Yara independence for the Ironborn, would agree, and ask if there was a way to secure an alliance with the North should they become an independent kingdom. (Going show canon).
The Dragon and the Wolf doesn’t have to solely be Jon. Dany’s a dragon and Sansa’s a wolf: if they had been allies (both survivors of shit situations, where Sansa was accused of murder, Sansa had been raped and Dany had been abused, sold like an animal, and also raped), they would have been one badass force to be reckoned with.
But, no, D&D had to end with them fighting FOR NO ACTUAL REASONS and have Sansa a lying oathbreaker and Dany being murdered. Honestly. 🙄
i cannot explain how much i DESPISE the “she grows more powerful and more sure that she is good and right” line. man thinks woman with more power than him has superiority complex? groundbreaking. literally what women have to deal with every day of their lives.
Jon literally murdered Dany…. like that was not killing someone in battle or in self-defense or as justified punishment for a crime…. he straight up murdered her when she was vulnerable and then got to return to his friends and his wolf, no worse for the wear aside from a little man-pain that seemed to quickly fade. I don’t want to read the bullshit defense posts for him, y’all can keep it.
