...Kris can crouch during the platforming segments in chapter 5??? Why???

You can barely see it, but if you press the down key Kris sorta crouches down and gets shorter by like 1-2 pixels. It has a custom sprite and everything. I can't find a mention of this anywhere, not even the wiki lol

Fun trivia? Perhaps this is well-known and I'm just ignorant...

Kris is not yet Strong enough to cross the lake and survive

Considering the Sword Route, perhaps the reason why we need to "Insert Chapter 7 Side B" is because Kris is not yet Strong enough to cross the lake and survive, so we're going to need to increase their LV in the Light World in Chapter 7...? More HP would allow them to take more drowning damage and thus get farther.

Maybe we'll use the Twisted Sword, since that item seems likely to transfer to the Light World much like the Shadow Crystals considering what it's made of, and an aborted Weird Route is the only way of obtaining the Thorn Ring (aborting the WR in Ch 5 doesn't play the normal jingle either...).

Regardless, the way to obtain EXP in the Light World is... chilling to think about. I don't think it's out of the question anymore with how dark the lake scene is Chapter 5 though. And, again, it would certainly mirror the Sword Route in Chapter 3.

This would require EXP or LV to transfer back to earlier chapters somehow. Either that or transferring something else, like the Twisted Sword. Regardless, I think the big picture makes sense.

...Alright, I've just been made aware of the Kris-Noelle amalgamate knight theory. It seems surprisingly solid considering how batshit insane it sounds at first. The reason I bring it up is that I think it could work with the theory I spoke of earlier. Hear me out.

The Kris-Noelle amalgam knight is what happens if Kris is too weak to survive the crossing. Kris dies, Noelle absorbs their Soul, and survives due to her Determination, becoming the Roaring Knight. Time loops etc. etc.

But, if Kris was Strong enough... Well. That changes things. They would survive. Perhaps this leads to the ultra super secret phantasm-level true ending or something. I don't know.

You see where I'm coming from? I admit this is starting to cross over into fanfiction territory... but wouldn't it be crazy?

In the chapter 5 Weird Route, there's a strange amount of evidence pointing towards Kris and Noelle going to visit Asriel, and I've not seen anyone talk about it.

This is from the start of chapter 5, after talking about how Asriel won't be attending the Festival...

...and this is obviously from the lake scene in chapter 5's Weird Route before Noelle pulls Kris into the lake.

I might be grasping at straws here, but... wouldn't it be crazy? There is a connection here. Leaving town early, a "crazy" thought. The choice of words has to be intentional.

...Maybe not.

But at least it's interesting.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR ONESHOT JOURNEYYYY

Haha, well, I'm not sure how much there is to say really. I've only played for 1.5 hours as of writing, so I've not gotten very far yet.

The start is probably pretty typical: weird house, lightbulb/sun (?), dark world, prophet guy (I'm God???), red-haired tall lady. She's really cute btw... Made a crowbar, put a thing in a thing, revived the robots. Then I found the strange .txt file in my Documents folder and used the code in it to open a box, that was really cool. I still don't know what that weird voice-in-the-computer thing is about though, or the... Journal? Red-haired lady told me it was important, at least. Most recently I explored the gas-filled area, and now the boat guy ("rowbot"? Top tier pun) is awake! I just need to find some way to clean them.

So yeah, that's about it. I've really enjoyed it so far! All the characters are so charming, especially Niko. I Love Them. They're so precious. I will draw more art of them. The whole meta element is amazing, I love that kind of stuff. I look forward to playing more! I'm sure nothing horrible or emotionally devastating will happen :D
