I say this all the time but Sasuke is not good political representation and I'm tired of the fandom pretending otherwise
He's not a woke man of the people he only cares about his clan, and that's fine he's not real, but this fandom acts like he is. He's very much selfish and doesn't care who he troubles as long as he gets what he wants, something kishimoto himself said.
He was driven by revenge and he would kill anyone in his way whether they were innocent or not. The beginning of shippuden only makes a point to show he's unwilling to kill innocent people just to emphasize his "descent into madness" further down the line, because where was all that when he was beating the brakes off naruto in vote 1 so he could upgrade his sharingan to face itachi?
I don't even need to get into how he joined a terrorist organization that targeted another marginalized group? Not very man of the people I think
Another thing in this fandom is how sakura/sasusaku fans who share this "woke god sasuke" mindset often take advantage of her irrelevance to the politics of naruto. They invent "revolutionary potential" to put her above other characters or simply to oppose naruto himself so her ship with sasuke is the more "woke" choice for him.
Her "revolutionary potential" is the same as taking literally any character with no thought on the matter and projecting your own ideals onto them. "if only she knew this she would've 100% done this" "she wanted to go with him so she could probably turn into this" you could come up with similar thoughts for any of them so really what makes her different?
Ultimately she and sasuke are "bootlickers" like the rest of them. They're not and would never be a revolutionary couple, sasuke would've been a terrible hokage, he was never right, sakura's hospitals aren't even canon, they're all working under the same "fascist military dictatorship" with no issue, you can't demonize naruto when they're right there with him. These characters are all victims of kishimoto's politics and sloppy writing so for lack of better words, can we be so fr.
Was french revolution good and was its outcome great, this is not about right or wrong but destroy the system that stands on so much blood especially his clan, everyone responsible for uchiha genocide the other village framework and konoha village framework, people are dying for village peace but now if people die is a problem, your selective moral framing has no values to rebels, revolution/change requires blood, better than nagato and madara, he will finally decide to kill who are the prb is kage and make sure new appointed kage fear him before doing any bulshite, you think naruto will change system, look at boruto, naruto still brainwashes children, didn't reform anything, fear of 2 strongest shinobi and otsutsuki power which is why peace exist, when you live in a narutoverse, became victim like kimmimaru and sasuke and nagato, only option to destroy feudalism/fascism by redical revolution of world police, judge and executioner, doesn't matter who is right and wrong, only thing is moving forward, maybe watch AOT you will understand why sasuke choose this path not bc he though he is right, only naruto dies or he dies, both of them only possible bc childish hero naruto exist and kishi is a illeterate writter regarding various thing
I’ll die on the hill of the ”joke” that Sasuke is one of the first male characters to experience misogyny both in canon and fanon because imo he’s a perfect example of:
-loss of bodily autonomy
-being blamed for that happening to him and how he dealt with the trauma
-being pursued by men without consent
-being objectified based on a physical trait
-exuding righteous anger towards a system that would rather let you die/kill you than support you
-characters like Sakura refusing to take no as an answer and her fanbase deciding she’s not getting what’s “owed” to her because he won’t just “consider her feelings” and say yes
-being demonized in general because he won’t play nice with people who just want him for their own benefit
-fandom wanting him to be reformed/put in his place through marriage/comphet
-ability to having contributed to having children in boruto viewed as more important than his own goals and desires from shippuden
-wanting approval from a father
-the minimization of his grief and kinda like the point above, the invalidation of his anger for what’s happened to him
I’m sure there’s more but I’ll leave it there for now
-He is told he is too emotional, adding some pseudoscientific justification (the sharingan is like the "hormones").
-His people were excluded from government and politics precisely because their oppressors wanted to hoard power for being "too emotional".
-He suffers extreme harassment and people act like it is some sort of compliment or favour he receives. It is even often presented as an innocent comic relief (like when Sakura says she would like to see him pee, or when Karin steals his clothes).
-He is represented with some uncomfortable, sexualizing outfit, inadequate for the activity he is performing, and that serves the only purpose of arousing the (pedos in the) audience.
-He is expected to give up his goals and projects to support those of alleged love interest.
-He is expected to do everything, but he can never win, whatever he does. If he doesn't work for Konoha he is evil and makes ball of sunshine sad, if he does, he is a bad father for not staying home with his child.
Why is Anti SasuNaru filled with pro NaruSasuNaru bullshit. Omg
I hate how Sakura is putting the Uchiha Crest everywhere. Other women act normal but she has to show everyone that she is this super Uchiha girl now.....
Sakura plasters Sasuke's Uchiha crest for three main reasons: status, insecurity and coping mechanism. Sakura was always a girl who felt that her worth would be only linked to getting Sasuke. If she got him out of every girl that wanted him it would mean for her that she is better than all of them. She puts this crest everywhere especially on her and Sarada's clothes to show her status. Look everyone! I am now a wife of Sasuke Uchiha, I belong to the Uchiha clan and we have a daughter together! She has very deep psychological problems especially knowing that she is the only woman to do such thing. Even Hinata does not plaster Uzumaki crest everywhere. Also let's look at very strange situation with Sakura house. In chapter 700 when Sarada was a small child we see that they live in an apartment.
But in the Gaiden when Sarada is 12 years old, they now live in this big ass house. Why does Sakura need such luxurious big house when only her and her daughter live in it? Sasuke was never in that house. Naruto does not even has such luxurious house and he is the Hokage! Furthermore, Sakura plastered Uchiha crest even outside the house. No one can tell me that she did not get this house to just show off. And the worst thing is that she took a loan to get it and then she destroyed it. How irresponsible you have to be! She loves her status and this life style. She even does her nails and she is a medic...
When it comes to her insecurity it mostly sterns from the fact that she, herself, is not from any prestigious clan and her academy peers were. I think she is also ashamed of her parents heritage and we can see that she was never shown to talk to them as an adult or Sarada knowing her grandparents. Why didn't Sarada go ask her grandparents about her father or her birth but asked Shizune, a stranger? She does not know them. Sakura does not even have pictures of them at home. She crossed them out of her life as fast as she got Sasuke and his last name.
Lastly, she plasters this Uchiha crest so much because it helps her fill her delusions. It is basically coping mechanism for Sasuke not being with his family. She is also the only woman that does not wear a ring and was never kissed by her husband. This Uchiha crest is a substitute for her ring that she never got from Sasuke just like she says the poke is better than a kiss. The fact that Sasuke is shown not to wear the Uchiha crest anymore proves that Sakura does not know anything about him. Sasuke stopped wearing this crest because he outrun his destiny and now it is irrelevant to him. The perception for Uchiha clan was always like 'you are an Uchiha, you must be powerful' or 'you have to kill someone close to you to get Mangakeyo Sharingan' and Sasuke was trying to achieve all of that because it meant to be an Uchiha. He thought it was his destiny but in the end he fought against it. His love for Naruto helped him understand it and that is the reason why he does not wear Uchiha crest anymore. He only keeps the headband, the symbol of his love for Naruto and hope.
It's weird to me that people call Sarada ungrateful towards Sakura and a crybaby in Naruto Gaiden.
She never gets to know her father before Naruto Gaiden. Her mother doesn't answer her questions, lies to her, and in the manga, she's literally shown using violence to silence Sarada. Then, when Sarada meets Sasuke for the first time, he doesn't recognize her and almost kills her. After a test, she's led to believe that Sakura, the person who raises her, isn't her mother. I believe those reasons are enough for her to cry and be upset. Why is Sarada blamed and not her parents? Why is she expected to be 'mature' in this situation?
I'm not saying Sarada is perfect and can't be criticized, but in that specific situation, she isn't the one at fault. She's literally only 11 years old.
what is this obsession that nh/hnt stans have with making her some kind of "boss" who tramples Naruto whenever she wants?
I understand, the filler in the anime changed everything from Kishimoto's manga to make hnt look good, not as a submissive woman who accepts anything from her husband, but as a boss who can trample him or scold her children without shyness making her look more like a sakura
but that is not kishimoto's canon, this is the canon
a "boss" should not cry because her children feel abandoned by their father, on the contrary she should go and kick the man's ass and make him understand how much his children suffer without him
(a boss who scolds her children? better said, her own children are the ones who scold her)
but that's not hnt, she's happy to have married Naruto and that's it, she doesn't have the guts to face Naruto either, because she is a submissive woman who will not do anything without his decision
when boruto is angry at his father she does nothing, when naruto is disrespectful to boruto making him feel embarrassed among so many people, she does nothing either, but she has no problem sending her son to take care of his father's ass because she couldn't and almost died trying
this "boss" has a serious thing about abandoning her children if it were to go after a man, it's not something a "boss" does but ok
the first time she was lucky and was saved by skr, but the second time not only does her husband see her as useless for a mission knowing that she has a byagukan, but he also doesn't think about his daughter, Ironically naruto has to remind him that he has her so that he doesn't abandon her and leave her adrift
'tired sigh' seriously I repeat it again, she is not a boss who solves her children's frustrations for not seeing their father, she just cries because she can't do anything and her son gets angry with her, this "boss" has no problem abandoning her daughter not just once but twice to go after a man like she has pursued him throughout her childhood, she also has no problem sending her son into a fight where he will probably get hurt and killed as long as her man is okay
but if she has enough trouble to hurt a child that is not hers, it is only naruto's, this is a debate and I can understand that she did not want her son to be killed but girl, you haven't done anything for him, you have tendencies to abandon your daughter for a man, why do you want to become a responsible mother now?
when naruto simply decided to take care of kawaki without consulting her, she accepted it and that was it, kawaki was already a danger and the village knew it, she herself saw how he sought to fight and hurt his son at all costs, she also sees how he almost destroyed his house and literally acted suspicious almost all the time she didn't do anything either, in fact, she wanted to do something but again naruto raised his hand like a dog to its owner and she simply chose to stay still
the only one who rules the house is naruto, this family accepts anything that comes from him if that makes him stay longer, I hate that headcanon where Naruto is trampled by her because It doesn't exist, and not only hnt stan has that obsession, skr stan also has it quite a bit, just because naruto lets himself be beaten by her doesn't mean he's a lapdog for that girl
naruto can get carried away by skr until she crosses a line and then we have scenes where she cries because she can't be the same as naruto or she and her ego are simply rejected by him, yeah... Great bosses
Hi, I hope you're doing great <3
Do you know what's the most difficult part about being a Sasuke stan? Well, it's having to coexist within the same community as his brainless haters <3 I just saw a video on youtube that explains why SS was so toxic and unlikeable, and as expected everyone in the comments was blamig Sasuke for that terrible relationship. I couldn't help but take a few screenshots and I've noticed something interesting : the majority of fans think that married Sakura is a victim, even her haters. On the other hand Sasuke is considered the badboy, the abuser, the one who tried to kill her, the criminal, the one who deserves to get humbled...ect. And I was just wondering, do you know if this fandom is for fucking real????????? Please let me know if you have the answer, I would really love to understand. Have a great day/night <3 ✨
tbh i think the people who still feel provoked to debate about sasuke being abusive in the sasusaku marriage just don't understand the context of their relationship and why it comes off so uncomfortable and weird. which really just goes back to the fact that sasuke and sakura don't have much of a tangible relationship for most of the story & their married dynamic just continues on from the little that was established in the main series. they only really interact after part 1 when she tries to kill him & then during the war arc a bit. sakura goes through her whole dilemma about whether she loves sasuke or not, but that doesn't translate into sasusaku having any kind of real connection or development when all this is happening in sakura's head without them having even seen each other. and sasuke just doesn't think about sakura outside of the general reminiscence he does about team 7 as a whole, he never demonstrates having a significant personal attachment to her. there's just nothing to work off of for their marriage to be much of anything, even for sakura because she doesn't know sasuke beyond the version of him that she desires
the writing just portrays their relationship as unromantic and i guess people take that as a slight to sakura because she's not being rewarded they way they believe she should be for pursuing him for as long as she did. which.. understandable to a degree because i do think their relationship is written as a punishment to her for doing that for so long and not being narutopilled as is the requirement in mcpowerfantasyland. the sasusaku marriage being what it is is very much a humiliation ritual of sakura eternally pining for a guy who will never love her because she rejected the nice guy that did when she was 13... that's moreso an issue with kishi and whatever is wrong with him. it is a little funny to frame the marriage as abusive on sasuke's end when the writing kind of goes out of its way to purport that he's with her out of guilt/it being part of his redemption to konoha thing; he thinks he owes her for hurting her feelings & rejecting her. that whole thing with him refusing to kiss her.. there is no other reason to do that unless you want to establish how personally detached he is from this
idk sakura got what she wanted in the end, it just wasn't the exact fantasy she pictured and that's not on sasuke when he never asked for any of it. if sakura wants to leave him she can do that at any time like.. she's not helpless or trapped & sasuke's not forcing anything on her. i think people just don't want to acknowledge that this is in fact what sakura wanted because it's deppressing to watch as a fan of hers & the fact that they already hate sasuke makes it easier to blame him for everything turning out like this. the crux really is that they're supposed to be secondary to the naruhina unit so sasusaku are egregiously and embarrassingly horrible at their marriage to make naruto look better about his which i think is ok because that's really funny

What is the timeline in which the storyline happened. Searching it online gives different answers.
• Entering the academy (6/7/8). Google says they enter the academy at 7or 8. While Naruto's specific timeline says he entered at 6.
• Graduation at 12 or 13 years old
• Timeskip 2 and 1/2 years later
• Naruto returns to Konoha at 15 years old
• Pain arc is supposed to be when Naruto is 16 years old
• The War arc is when Naruto turns 17 years ol
• (non canon/canon Sasuke retsuden) Naruto is 18
• 19 years old during the Last movie
• Boruto takes place 15 years since after the fourth war. Making Naruto 32 years old at the beginning of Boruto

What do you think about the fact that Sasuke was in love with Sakura but he simply couldn't show it because he was blinded by hatred and didn't like showing it to others?
Well I'll start it of simply. I don't think Sasuke has romantic feelings for Sakura. In fact I don't think Sasuke has romantic feelings for anyone trough the whole manga and anime.
Long answer: Sasuke was shown to care for his teammates. He gave Sakura reassuring words, wanted to protect her and trusted her. But that isn't special to her. He was same to Naruto.
For example he protected Sakura from Zaku in Chunin exams after he hurt her. But he also protected Naruto from Zabuza. Sasuke is shown to care for his teammates, but care doesn't mean he's in love with either of them.
I'll skip their relationship in OG Naruto because they are twelve, thirthteen at most, there so I don't expect them to have any kind of romantic relationship. But we do know Sakura had crush on him. Yet Sasuke didn't have same feelings for her, his feelings for her were platonic. Even Sakura's confession for him prior to Sasuke leaving comes of incredibly self centered. She focuses on how she'll feel if he leaves and what she feels. But we don't get any similar feelings from Sasuke. In fact we get him calling her annoying and knocking her out.
And those feelings for her stayed consistent trough the whole Shippuden. Except more sour since they were on different sides. So he probably disliked her at that point. Sakura plans to kill him to save him from "darkness". Now I don't have romantic experience, but something tells me that isn't really a good thing for a relationship.
I've seen a lot of people bring up Sasuke blushing in manga as proof he liked Sakura. But Sasuke's blushing was always shown as a way to tell he was embarrassed. People take Sasuke blushing at Sakura's crush on him as a sign he's also interested in her. And I wonder if they ever met a teenage boy. Not even a boy, a teenager in general, especially introverted one. Sasuke blushing at it is because he's embarrassed in the moment. Which introverted teenage boy wouldn't be embarrassed at girl pretty openly having a crush on him.
Sasuke also blushed out of emberessmnt when talking to Fugaku. I can't think of a moment where Sasuke was blushing puely because of some romantic interest.
Now this scene is where a lot of people say Sakura reminded Sasuke of his family. But to me it shows exact reason Sasuke wasn't showing any romantic interest or idea of starting a new family. Because he still wasn't over his old one. He was still in process of grieving, especially after finding out his family was killed by state, and not just his brother going mad for no reason. Sasuke's greatest love was by far his family and his clan.
Through the whole show Sasuke's bonds have been shown to be strongest with his actual family and clan. Sasuke's strongest and deepest bond is by far Itachi, whether you like him or hate him. Even after killing Danzo. Sasuke is shown that the deepest reason for him doing this is his love for his family. So I don't think it's right to say he was blinded by hatred.
If anything I'd say he was blinded by sadness and grief. Sasuke was very openly showing his love for his family in this scene. Even earlier in Sasuke retrival arc Sasuke says he's suffering because of those bonds he had with his family and clan. And Sakura was and is working for the village that took those bonds away from him.
Sasuke was pretty open about his love for his family. And if her truly had deep romantic feelings for Sakura I believe he would have showed it one way or another. But we don't get until the end of Naruto. I think simple and plain truth is that Sasuke didn't lover her romantically, or anyone for that matter.
SasuSaku was forced, it was hinted at definitely and you could tell they were gonna end up together because it's Shonen. But that doesn't make the ship better. Too many people believe a ship being hinted at means it can't be forced, and that means too little people watched Turkish drama shows. Something being hinted at dosen't change something feeling forced. Especially since SasuSaku was one sided up until the end.
In short: I don't like it, SasuSaku was forced no matter how much people argue and it was one sided. Sasuke didn't have romantic feelings for anyone.
Anon I am extremely sorry for how long this is. Once I start yapping I can't stop.
Hi!
I’m an sns truther and I strongly believe in all the evidence you gave and that Kishimoto was fully intentional in his writing. But I still can’t wrap my mind around why Sasuke apologized to Sakura and even thanked her. That’s probably the most popular ss evidence, so I’m wondering what you think about it.
I’m mostly interested in the first “thank you” because the last one was pretty meh. He used the forehead poke and it was an obvious sign of a fake promise. However he says the first one while standing behind her back right after telling her that she’s annoying. At that time he might still consider her being a comrade so he might be actually sincere? Maybe it was just distraction so that he could leave peacefully? Idk
As for “sorry”, he might’ve actually felt guilty because of all that shit Kakashi said.
Hi anon!
But I still can’t wrap my mind around why Sasuke apologized to Sakura and even thanked her. That’s probably the most popular ss evidence.
Yes, and it's easily counter argued and debunkable "evidence" so don't worry about it.
Let's start with the apology. Sorry to all the Team 7 enthusiasts and every Sakura stan in the world, but Sasuke apologized to Sakura to appease Naruto.
Throughout the manga you will see that oftentimes Naruto would stand up for Sakura when Sasuke mistreated her and call him out. Because Naruto and Sasuke where having their own conflict going on and Sasuke was going down the path of vengeance and darkness, Sasuke would dismiss Naruto and basically tell him to mind his own business or that he doesn't gaf.
Some examples where you see this are after Naruto saves Sakura from being killed by Sasuke or when Sasuke told Sakura to shut up because she couldn't do anything during the war arc. Also after Sasuke puts Sakura under a genjutsu.
Even when there's no mistreatment, Naruto has to remind Sasuke to treat Sakura with a bit more decency and respect, like that time after Sakura and Obito retrieved Sasuke from another dimension and Sasuke swapped places with Sakura's vest and caught here (that moment SS shippers love lol). Sasuke did not thank them for saving him and dodged Naruto's questioning telling him to instead focus on the enemy.
After Sasuke and Naruto's final battle, Naruto is finally able to completely reach Sasuke's heart and save him from the darkness. Sasuke admits he's lost and that he now acknowledges Naruto.
So when Sakura arrives and starts to heal both boys, Sasuke gives her a simple apology, nothing compared to the big grand monologue he had thought about Naruto being his strength and how he also felt Naruto's pain and all that. It's just a "sorry". But additionally, you will notice that right after the apology, Sasuke returns his attention to Naruto, to the point that he only smiles again after seeing Naruto smiling and chuckling. I find it so interesting that it's Naruto who is smiling in this moment, it's almost like it's about him seeing how Sasuke has finally reached the light again and not a romantic SS moment lol.
So now we go with Sasuke thanking Sakura. He does this twice, the first time before abandoning Konoha to go with Orochimaru and the second time right after leaving Konoha for his atonement journey.
It's been greatly explained in the following post by @narutouzumakiarchive and @guidaozongshi [LINK]
Although in that particular post they're both discussing only ch. 699, guidaozongshi argument works for both instances Sasuke thanked Sakura.
Western fans or rather fans from any country where confucianism isn't the foundational philosphy, will consider thank you something you will say to anybody that does something for you, it's the ultimate showcase of gratitude over here. SS shippers for instance, think that Sasuke is thanking Sakura because he's been deeply touched by her "unconditional" love for him and for standing besides him through their ups and downs and is finally rewarding her for it with his words (I've written about this phenomenon that I call "the beauty, the prince and the beast" here).
However, Japan is a country deeply influenced by Confucianism due to their close historical ties to China. The words thank you have a different connotation and usage than it does in other parts of the world.
In the link that Guidaozongshi shares you will find people explaining the different cultural perspective regarding gratitude between the West and Confucian societies like China, Korea or Japan.
Sasuke thanking Sakura is another way of putting distance between them. He has to acknowledge her that way because they're strangers to each other and there's zero intimacy/closeness between them, something both of them acknowledge.
You say in your ask that you're confused why Sasuke thanked Sakura right after calling her annoying and this is why.
If you remember, when Sakura was attempting to stop Sasuke from leaving Konoha she 1. Made the situation about herself ("It won't make anyone happy [...] not me") 2. She downplayed Sasuke's trauma as a genocide survivor ("Even though I have friends and family, if you leave I'll be very lonely") 3. Doesn't care actually about saving Sasuke as she'll happily watch him succumb to darkness as long as she's with him ("Please, please don't go... I'll even help you take revenge", "stay with me, if you can't ... maybe I can go with you?").
Sakura showed Sasuke that not only she doesn't know him, she doesn't even care about him. So Sasuke thanks her, perhaps for the time they were a team, maybe to soften the blow of leaving as a final goodbye but most importantly to show the audience that they're strangers to one another. One thing is for sure, it's after this interaction that Sasuke starts to develop a deep resentment towards Sakura and their relationship would never recover.
But that's also the reason why Sasuke never thanks Naruto out loud. They're so close they're able to read each other's thoughts without saying a word, they can sense each other's chakra, they're able to claim each other's pain, they know each other's heart.
As Kishimoto said, they're more brothers than blood brothers, this means their closeness surpasses even the ones between blood related individuals, y'know how the saying goes blood's thicker than water but Naruto and Sasuke's bond is so strong it becomes thicker than blood That's a level of intimacy and unconditional love that Sasuke doesn't experience with anyone else to the point Naruto doesn't even need to hear Sasuke say thank you because he already knows, with Sasuke’s looks, with Sasuke's admission of defeat, with Sasuke holding onto that headband for years to come.
I think that's also the reason why Kishimoto wrote the narration of this chapter as Sasuke's thoughts rather than spoken words, Sasuke doesn't need to say it out loud for Naruto to understand. That's the beauty of the confucianism philosophy that's embedded into the story.
Don't feel cornered by SS shippers "arguments" or "evidence", it is all easily debunkable and crumbles with little to no research
So I just want to go back to Naruto Gaiden once again and how it tells us the way adult Sakura interacts with other women, specifically women with some sort of connection to Sasuke.
INO
Although in Naruto Gaiden we're not given a single panel where Sakura talks negatively about any women, chapter 10 of Naruto Gaiden gives us the clearest example of how off-screen she definitely does talk negatively about some women.
Ino is greeting Sasuke after years of not seeing him, we have no idea how many years had passed since the two interacted but considering that Naruto is the only person that sees him often & Sasuke didn't return to Konoha for Naruto's wedding, they've probably haven't seen each other since Sasuke left the village to go on his atonement journey, so about 12 years.
Yet the moment Sarada sees and hears Ino she is wary of her. In the next panel we see her with her arms up looking uneasy and distressed with the words BLOCK (in other translations it says STEP IN) above her, indicating she's either signaling Ino to stop talking to Sasuke or blocking Ino from physically approaching Sasuke. Ino is of course dumbfounded by this and Sakura is behind them laughing nervously in embarrassment.
This indicates to us that Sakura has talked about Ino in a negative light to Sarada. We know that Ino had a crush on Sasuke when they were 12 that she eventually grew out of and Sakura must know this because Ino is now married to another man who is also the father of her own child and yet Sakura still sees her as a threat to her relationship with Sasuke to the point Sarada herself sees Ino as a threat to her family.
KARIN
We're not shown a single interaction between Sakura and Karin but we're given enough information to know that Sakura's thoughts on Karin are somewhat complicated.
So first things first.
Kishimoto has never written about the circumstances that brought Sasuke and Sakura together. What we know is 1. Sasuke rejected Sakura after she suggested to go with him on his atonement journey. 2. Sasuke didn't return to Konoha for Naruto's wedding (which was written in a very shady way). 3. Sakura went after Sasuke after Naruto's wedding (which was also written in a shady way). 4. They traveled together alongside team Taka during Sakura's pregancy. 5. After Sakura gave birth to Sarada she went back to Konoha to raise the child all by herself and Sasuke had no intention in being present in Sarada's life (had Sarada not chased Naruto and Naruto not taken Sarada to Sasuke, who knows when Sasuke and Sarada would've met).
Keep in mind Sasuke never cared about Sakura before Sarada. In Naruto, Sasuke pretty much says he doesn't care if Sakura lives or dies, and in Naruto Gaiden, Sasuke still doesn't care about Sakura after Sarada is born as we see how he looks less than amused when he sees Sakura after years of no contact and how he keeps denying her any sort of affection (they've never kissed).
So it's safe to assume Sasuke still didn't care about Sakura while she was pregnant with Sarada (yikes) which lead us to believe it was Karin who took care of Sakura during her pregnancy.
Karin reveals to us, the readers, very important information:
Karin delivered Sarada.
Sakura gave birth at one of team Taka's hideouts.
Karin gifted Sarada the pair of glasses she wears.
Those glasses are Karin's and the ones she had within reach considering Team Taka doesn't hangout around kids (in chapter 8 we see small Sarada wear glasses too big for her).
Karin is fond of Sarada, she calls her "Sarada-chan" and has also kept her in her mind long enough to know that Sarada has grown out of the pair of glasses she gifted her as a baby (chapter 10).
Karin even preserved Sakura's umbilical cord that Sakura didn't take with her.
Basically, Karin likes the child. Some people interpret this information as proof that Sarada might be an experiment that Karin was involved in, but that's not what this post is discussing so let's digress.
How does Sakura feel about Karin?
Unlike she did with Ino, Sakura doesn't talk shit about Karin, instead she simply doesn't acknowledge her at all. This obviously leads to a messy situation: Sakura took a picture of teenage Sasuke with team Taka (but not her umbilical cord lol) and plastered her own picture over Karin's face.
What is particularly funny is that had Sakura just had that picture of team Taka framed normally and Sarada eventually asked about the woman with glasses she could've just said "Oh! that's Karin she's the medic-nin that delivered you when you were born :) she also gifted you the glasses you wear. I wonder what she's up to now?" perfectly normal response that would've answered some of her daughter's doubts and calmed her insecurites. But no, Sakura had to be very secretive about it because God forbid there are other women in Sasuke's life.
When Sakura is told that Sarada found the picture of Taka and ran away to find her dad this is her reaction.
She knows she fucked up. Also, it's very bizarre behaviour to act like this towards the woman who basically looked after you during your pregnancy and who has your child's best interests at heart. Even as an adult Sakura is still a male-centered woman. She cares about having a man before anything else hence her behaviour. Any woman that she feels threatens her status as Sasuke's wife is an enemy to her, she either talks shit about them, ignores their existence or in some twisted way tries to take their place.
Although I personally believe Sakura does care about and loves Sarada, I also believe Sakura sees Sarada as an extension of Sasuke thus as an extension of her status as Sasuke's wife. Sarada is the only proof Sakura has that she and Sasuke are together because that man could not care less about her, so in a twisted way Sakura doesn't want Sarada near other women in the way she doesn't want Sasuke near other women and she also wants Sarada to mistrust other women in the way she mistruts other women.
This insecurity not only reflects poorly on Sakura but also showcases how fragile Sakura and Sasuke's marriage is if Sakura and Sarada have to be up in arms everytime a woman approaches Sasuke.
What Naruto Gaiden shows us is that Sakura is an emotionally stunted, immature, selfish, male-obsessed woman who in order to feed her self-delusions has no issues of hurting her daughter along the way. Just sad.
Now I wonder how she feels about the fact that it was Naruto who brought Sarada and Sasuke together and who was able to pacify a dismayed Sarada. Always Naruto and never her.
I wonder if Sakura's insecurity is also the reason why she changed her style as an adult.
This is how Sakura dressed during the 2 year period when Naruto and Hinata got married and before she left Konoha to chase after Sasuke:
However as an adult, Sakura looks kinda similar to Karin. Now, imagine you're Sakura and you see the man you're obsessed with traveling with another woman after he broke his promise of traveling with you "maybe next time". Would it be far-fetched to believe she changed her style to mimic that of Karin's because she may have made up scenarios and assumptions regarding Sasuke and Karin's relationship?
Kishimoto is very intentional about the designs he gives to each of his characters and has said so in interviews. I mean, this is what he said about Hinata's shippuden design:
Her design is tied to her personality, like the rest of the characters... Idk Idk Idk
Sakura plastered her face on Team Taka's picture, specifically over Karin's face, once she realized Sarada was getting older and she was starting to ask questions she couldn't answer.
As we see in Sarada's flashback, we see Sakura with very long hair when Sarada is asking her about Sasuke's whereabouts and other stuff, Sakura doesn't answer any of these questions truthfully, she's either lying about him being on a mission that hadn't actually started (and wouldn't until several years later) or straight up deflecting
So it seems this is the moment where Sakura realizes she needs to come up with a better alibi to justify Sasuke's absence and keep Sarada in the dark for as long as possible.
She cuts her hair at some point, takes a picture of herself and puts it over Karin's. But this also explains to us why in Sarada's imagination Sasuke is a man with both arms that still wears the Uchiha crest, even though we, as readers, know that's not the case.
If Sakura was honest with Sarada she would've told her Sasuke doesn't have an arm and hasn't worn the Uchiha crest but then the false image she created of their "family" would crumble immediately. In the most recent picture Sakura has of Sasuke, he's 16 (something Sarada apparently doesn't know) and has both arms, so it'd beg the question, if Sasuke doesn't have an arm for as long as Sarada has been alive, why don't we have more recent pictures of him?
Then comes the Uchiha crest, if Sasuke hasn't worn it since he was 17, then why Sakura and Sarada do?
Sakura can't be honest to Sarada without completely destroying the fantasy both of them have of a family, so she instead manufactures one. But it doesn't last long because as the years go by, Sasuke is still absent and Sarada gets older and she still wants to know about her dad and his absence and Sakura is unwilling to give up the farse she has put up for so long.
An interesting thing Kishimoto does in Gaiden is when both Sarada's parents poke her forehead he pairs it with Sakura fake smiling at her.
Sakura knows she's lying to Sarada when she's poking her forehead hence her fake smile showing us she's not being genuine. She also understands Sasuke is lying to Sarada, she knows their shitshow of a family is a farse.
This is why people, including many SNS shippers, get it wrong when they say Sakura believes the forehead poke is a positive thing, she doesn't, she's very much aware of the real meaning of the forehead poke.
Can we please talk about how ridiculous Boruto is. Alien ninja gods!!!! I never want to touch Boruto but ever time I see a video about Boruto I just lose my mind!
Alien Ninja Gods!!! Everything Naruto was pointless by this point.
Everything Naruto supposedly caught for, what Sasuke fought for, what we learned about the villages, pain, love, freedom, what it meant to be a Shinobi! Gone, meant nothing.
Naruto is a hypocrite, Sasuke was the only one who made valid points and lost, Pain died for his village to become a crime alley.
