Today on things that didn’t know about Metal Slug...
SUPER DEVIL!
Let me explain.
So in the home ports of most Metal Slug games, outside of the anniversary collection, there are combat missions. Basically re-arranged stages with unique goals. They are arranged in different ranks. However, if you some how manage to get all of the ranks, the final one is Super Devil. What that intales is that a demon takes over your body, turns your skin green, and other weird things happen. Like in Metal Slug X, your standard shot in Super Devil mode, replaces it with the canon shot you get in a Metal Slug.
The devil takes over your character because you are super strong and cool.
That is just a thing that is normal in Metal Slug canon.
But that’s not the weirdest part, which also needs some a bit of explanation.
First, meet Sophia.
Sophia has been apart of Metal Slug since the first one, acting as the guide in most of the combat schools. She’s usually hard on the player but warms up over time. In Metal Slug X, when the player gets to Super Devil rank, then talks to Sophia, this happens…
I…I…I…just, wow.
Oh and Super Devil exists in Metal Slug Attack. Here’s Super Devil Eri:
I don’t know man, I just don’t know.
