I hope this month treats you kindly. I hope whatever your are battling eases soon and that you at the end of the month will find that you have come further than you realized/or that something went way better than expected. I hope you end the month with a thought that makes you smile. I wish you the best🌸
FUCKKKKKKK what if something bad happened and I forgot to worry about it
you don’t realize how important lunch is until you’re wandering around thinking about how unloveable and untalented and uniquely cursed you are and then it’s 4pm and you finally eat lunch and you go Oh. oh right.
It’s okay to not be okay. It can be helpful to transform that “not okay” to a “not okay yet”. I always feel more hopeful remembering that I will be okay again, and the period of not being okay doesn’t last forever. ♡
You add so much good just by existing, and penguin wanted to remind you! Thank you for being here. 💕 All the love and support on my last post gave me so much encouragement and hope, and I'm so grateful for the huge positive impact you all have had on me.

"at least..." no, dude. you deserve better than "at least." stop accepting so little for yourselves.
Having standards ain’t for the weak. It’s really just you and your standards for a while
Forgive yourself for struggling with shame. For making choices you regret. For avoiding situations you wish you hadn’t. You can grow from here if you release the past from your grip and shelve it as a lesson.
i need to come up with a way to say “i mean like, movies for grownups” that doesn’t make me feel like a villain
*peeks in the replies* *gets really nervous and locks my house up and leaves*
well, i mean more like La Piscine or Mulholland Drive,
i think i am going insane
Apparently it is impossible for Tumblr users to think of a not ageist way to describe their tastes, because everything must always be compared to how inferior children are -- despite the fact that it is pretty much never the choice of any child or children when media aimed at them is dumbed down etc.
Things when bad: kids and children are involved!
Things when good: this is very Adult this is specifically Adult only Adults can understand or want this
i literally just don’t want to watch Kung Fu Panda
okay we’ve come all the way back around. let’s pack this up. this post is done. “who asked” you just walked into my post that i made on my blog..? who asked YOU?? am i losing my fucking mind?????
Also to jump one step back: No one is saying shows/movies aimed at children are bad. "Bluey" is a GREAT children's show, so was "Heidi" and "Biene Maya" and "Pumukl" (at least in the late nineties - the new animations look like ... eew)
That, however does not mean that I am gonna invite my friends over for movie night and start Bluey or that I would just sit down at prime time to watch my daily dose of Bluey?
I would also not sit down with a child and watch "Superstore" or something like that. If they want to... sure?
But we gota start acknowledging that the world of children, the life of children and the challenges of said life just look different from that of adults. And TRUST me, I am NOT saying easier.
@cheaphalloweencostume - I think we are both going insane.

Thinking you're stupid is unproductive, thinking you're untalented is unproductive, thinking you're anything lesser than others is also again, incredibly unproductive. There is a difference between thinking, and by that making it your reality and feeling. You can say "I feel insecure about this or that" without making it your reality. Just because you feel something once doesn't mean you are. Thinking insecure thoughts doesn't make you less insecure, it doesn't make you better, it doesn't make you happier. It just makes you miserable and being miserable will catch up to you. It will make you less productive, it will make your quality of life worse. You are always allowed to feel how you feel, but you need to make sure that those feelings don't dictate the narrative of who you are.
