Arqa’s father Gavriel Nacht, a well-renowned Guardian in the City. He's primarily a voidwalker, though is interested in learning titan and hunter subclasses too. Doesn't mean he's particularly good at it, but there's nothing wrong with trying.

Gavriel doesn't talk about his early past as a Guardian, but now spends his life trying to do as much good as he possibly can to make up for it.

it takes clover quite some time to gain immunity to veler's general weirdness but eventually they realize he’s just.. coping with his pain the only way he knows how. which is not good or healthy in any capacity but. all they can really do is be there for him

it doesn’t excuse veler being a bad person, but clover at least understands why he is that way in the first place.

everyone's least favorite extremely tall Royal Army soldier, Veler Veis. he really loves being creepy, weird, and an overall bad person. literally almost no one likes him on Paladin Revl’s ship, but then again, he doesn’t make it easy for anyone to like him (and he actually prefers it that way).

more sketches of veler. he was given up by his parents as a teenager, then trained (brainwashed) by the awoken military into absolute loyalty. it’s ingrained so deeply into him that there isn’t a single order he won’t follow.

he was a huge bully to arqa when they were kids, but they didn’t see each other for another 30 years after graduating their military training, though when they did.. well, we’ll just say arqa got his revenge & finally put veler in his place. now he willingly works directly under arqa, pretty much worshipping the ground he walks on.

despite the circumstances of his childhood, Arqa was a pretty good kid, though he did still get in trouble quite a bit. his mentor and caretaker Acacia was extremely strict & he never got away with anything.

to make a long story short, arqa’s long-term Guardian boyfriend evandro both cheated on him and secretly used him to spy on the Reef. arqa suspected it for awhile but didn’t want to believe it. when he finally did confront him, evandro stabbed his eye out and fled. so that’s how that happened.
