What’s Your Book Shelfie Style?
Fan Bing Bing, Elle Men Oct. 2015
Marieke Voorsluijs and Barbara Lohnen run Amsterdam-based textile art and craft label Club Geluk. They’re both utterly obsessed with yarn, knitting, and textile art and enjoy the challenge of using their knitting skills to create realistic yarn versions of everyday objects that are used for magazines and commercials. Last year they created the “Darn! men with yarn” calendar, which parodied pin-up model calendars by featuring 12 images of scantily-clad men dressed in knitted undies and surrounded by knitted props.
Club Geluk has received so many requests to reveal the secrets behind how they create their knitted foods and utensils that their most recent creation is a book entitled Club Geluk and the secret of the knitted ham and more bizarre knits. They also offer knitting patterns, diy kits, fabrics, stationery, handmade creations, and workshops via the Club Geluk website. Head over there to check out more of their playful knitted creations.
