Hello I have reappeared after 2 years because I keep getting Molly notifications!! I don’t know that I’m actually going to be active here, but I do have a backlog of stuff I can put in my queue. I’m more active on my IG, but honestly I’ve always been horrible at getting pics, so recent cos pics are pretty scarce despite the fact I do still do it! I’ve been way more into my art accounts everywhere, so that’s where I’ve disappeared to~

since you’ve made armsocks before, do you have any advice on making them? especially making the neck hole. thanks!

I’m gonna be real honest with you: these things are a nightmare. But my advice would be:

- PRACTICE on a throwaway pair of tights. Seriously. You want your machine tension and stitch length set up correctly BEFORE doing the real thing.

- I made a cardboard cutout of my hand to shove in the tights. It makes it easier to sew the shape than trying to baste by hand while it’s on your hand... your mileage may vary though.

- I don’t think I made my neck hole right? But also I made mine weird on purpose because it sits around my waist instead of my neck so I can wear the deepest of Vs. Make sure to either serge the edge or use fray check!

But honestly? Kinetic Cosplay on IG/Etsy makes them for sale, and I’m buying from her for my next pair because I hated making them LOL

Hello! I love your Takumi cosplay! I'm trying to cosplay him as well and was wondering if you could tell me how you made the white piece? I really like the way yours looks. Thanks!

Thank you! I made him over two years ago so let me see... I think I drafted it on scrap to get the shape of the scallops right, then used heavy duty interfacing on both pieces of final fabric to keep the shape. I topstitched the edges like in-game, but that also help keep the edges crisp. The whole collar is attached at the edges to my white tunic to help it stay in place. Hope that helps!
