My heart is warm with the friends I make, And better friends I’ll not be knowing; Yet there isn’t a train I wouldn’t take, no matter where it’s going.

Farewell India
This much I know is true
1. On the roads of India, you need three things: good brakes, a good horn, and good luck.
2. Some things are lost in translation, but a smile is always understood.
3. Visual stimulation and sensory overload is daily and exhausting.
4. Speaking a little of the native dialect always makes a local laugh.
5. The caste system, while rarely mentioned, still exists.
6. The streets are shared by trucks, cars, motorbikes, tuk tuks, oxen, carts, bicycles, pedestrians, cows, dogs, goats and the occasional chicken.
7. Women in their brightly colored saris are landscape candy.
8. The culture is a densely woven tapestry of history, religion, color, texture and spice.
9. There are good people no matter where life takes you. India has some of the best.
10. The coronavirus outbreak forces us to leave, but India will stay in our hearts forever.
