And he runs off, only to return soon with what appears to be a box full of fireworks. Where did he even get that?!

“I know I am, thank you!”

Her eyes seem to have stars in them when she sees the box, but it quickly turns mischievous. “What are we waiting for, then?”

“Can ya please stop staring? Ya look like a hyena staring at it’s next meal.” Was she staring at his actual lunch, or staring at him? Wally would believe either, given how things could get with Ophee. So, if she was going to stare, large, pie-cut eyes are going to stare back.

“An’ if the next woids outta your mouth are ‘Holy $#!? Wally, you’re a toon’ I’m just gonna get outta here. Fair warning.”

She has no clue how to respond to this. He’s a toon! He’s a toon but he’s not a toon! At least, he’s not supposed to be, right? Honestly, he was pretty good at guessing what she was going to say, and thus she opted out of that in favor of absolute stuttering.
