Truth is a matter of circumstances.
"Have yet to be graced by either’s company, so until then they are your witches." Clark hummed, cocking an eyebrow at Cat. "You trust a child with your safety? When there are two witches easily more capable then her?" Clark scoffed, lifting his eyebrows and shaking his head. "Your funeral I guess…"
"No, until then they shall remain, Juliet’s." Catharina clipped. She snorted, "Please, Juliet is capable of more than you know, she is an incredibly powerful witch. And yes. We trust her. If you have a problem with Aaron’s decision then you can take it up with him." Car rolled her eyes, mumbling "More like your funeral." Returning to a regular tone of voice. "Is there anything else?"
Clark rolled his eyes. “I can feel your overwhelming sympathy…” The ghost drawled, stepping to the woman’s side so he favored more of the shadowed part of the street as they walked. “Your town, your witches.” Clark replied, arching his eyebrow. “Seeing how I have done nothing wrong for this unneeded hunt I would have expected some worry.”
"Technically Xavier and Aaron's witches, but you know." She shrugged, "We trust in Juliet to take care of the witches in her coven. I can't tell you why you're being hunted, but it's not my problem." Catharina explained easily.
Clark lifted his chin, offering his pale neck to the blade and grunting when she punched him in the stomach but never faltering. Clark watched the woman with mirth, an excited crooked smile on his lips as she snarled at him. Clark giggled, tucking the blade away and falling back into his servant like status by following her. “I wish to ask you why some are hunting me.” Clark mused innocently.
"Perhaps its your attitude? Or your opinions?" She offered easily, breezing through her house, and out the front door, shutting it behind the two of them. "I don't know to be totally honest." Catharina said, shrugging, giving him a semi apologetic look. "I don't take care of your kind, it's not my department." Catharina explained, while she strode towards the center of town.
Clark arched an eyebrow, watching the woman moved towards the entrance of the office with narrowed eyes. The ghost stepped out from the wall before the door, planting himself before her like a wall. “Perhaps I wasn’t clear…” Clark snarled, pressing the silver blade to the woman’s welcoming neck. “We are going to sit down here and have a chat like adults. And if you don’t, I will go out and retrieve that cute little innocent omega’s heart and feed it to you.” There was no threat in Clark’s words as he smiled down at Catharina; it was all promises.
Catharina stopped in her tracks, giving the man a cold stare. She easily wrapped a hand around his wrist, shoving it towards his throat and dropping her coat to drive a punch to his stomach. "Don't pull this shit with me. I don't operate under your circumstances, Clark. You work with me, because I am the one with a town to run." She said, calmly. Now moving past him, she swiped up her coat, dropping his wrist and left the room. "Walk and talk, or you can call and schedule a time." Catharina threw over her shoulder.
Never a boring day around here for you at least, is there?
On the contray, sometimes I have to listen to people complain about things I don't control.
Linnington.
Oh, no, nothing in particular. I was looking for the library. If you could direct me towards it, I would be grateful.
Miss. Linnington, I'm Catharina, you seem new. Take a left out of here, the your first right, which will lead you to the square, and it's right across from town hall.
Clark smiled at the woman. “I would prefer if we sit and have a nice chat.” The ghost cocked his head. “You look stressed! Why not sit and relax, hmm?”
"I'm not stressed, I'm busy, stress doesn't affect me anymore." She snapped, growing displeased with the mans antics. "Yeah, well I don't have the time for that. If you want to talk you have to walk." Catharina declared, picking up her bag and placing her tablet in it, throwing the bag over her shoulder she grabbed her sweater and began to make her way out of her office. "Follow me."
Ah, well you know I’m always here if you need anything at all, love. You sure stay busy.
Of course, Zachary, thank you. I try to, it keeps me from going crazy, I have a few meetings today.
Clark hummed, leaning back against the door as he pulled out a silver blade and started picking his nails idly with it. “You seem rather available now…” The ghost mused, arching an eyebrow at the woman. “Or I can just go find that shy little wolf…what was her name? Maggie? Maddison?”
"Mackenzie, and if you wish to speak to her you may. But I really must be going, I have a meeting with a shop owner in.." Catharina checked her watch, blowing out an annoyed sigh, "Fifteen minutes. Can you walk and talk?"
"And I am sure it can wait." Clark purred, closing the door with a finger as he smiled at the woman.
"It cannot. Perhaps we can schedule another time to meet. I have matters larger than you to attend to." She kept her demeanor professional, it was a work day after all. "I'm available tomorrow, or I can do later today. That is, if your matters do seriously require my presence."
I apologize, miss.
Was there something I could help you with, Miss..?
Anything you need help with, Cat?
Not entirely sure yet Zachary, I'm just squaring away the books, keeping my notes in line.
I'm a little busy.
As long as it gets better, then I don’t mind it. There are some really nice girls here. But I don’t know if that would solve everything.
No? What do you think you need?
