Void state is pure awareness — everything else (literally everything) is external
Void state is the state where you are only aware. Anything else you might say right now is external — and therefore, it is not the void state.
Stop complicating a natural and infinite process!
You don’t need a routine to be aware.
You don’t need to do any practices to be aware.
You don’t even need to tune into anything to be aware.
You don’t need to do anything special to be aware.
But the point is — whether you do it or not, you are always aware (!!!).
What does it mean to be aware — and to be aware that you are aware?
To be aware means to understand that something exists, to notice that something is happening, to know that you exist. It’s an endless and automatic process that is happening even if you’re not thinking about it.
It’s like breathing — even if you’re not thinking about it, you keep breathing. If you’re not breathing, you’re not alive. Even if you’re not thinking about awareness, you keep being aware. If you’re not aware, you’re not alive. Do you understand what I mean?
And don’t you dare say that you don’t know how to be aware. If you’re capable of thinking that you don’t know how to be aware,
you’re already proving that you do know how to be aware. You can’t not be aware.
Just try not being aware right now. Did it work? No. You can’t do it.
That might be the only thing in life you can’t do. (Everything else — you absolutely can, and by the way, only because of that very awareness!)
To better understand what awareness is, I want you to ask yourself the question: “Who is aware of all this?” And just try to be that. Just feel it. Be with it. Recognize it. You’re not just looking at this world.
There’s something within you that is aware of it all.
It’s like: at first, you’re looking in the mirror, and then you realize that you’re looking in the mirror. And you’re like: “Whoa. I’m not just looking. I know I’m looking.”
What does it mean to enter the void state?
The void state is simply a meeting with pure awareness —
where there is only awareness, and the knowing that you are aware.
Nothing else. If there’s anything more — you are not in the void state.
And yes, you are always aware, whether you’re in the void state or not — always! But the point of entering the void state is to let go of everything external — thoughts, sensations, ego, subconscious, and so on.
How to do it? (Without techniques, without complications)
First of all, I ask you to stop overcomplicating the most natural and effortless process in life. Stop holding onto the habit of overcomplicating the void state. Yes, it’s just a habit — nothing more.
Now, let’s get to the point.
To enter the void state, all you need to do is… just be aware! I’m serious — just be aware. Nothing more. Just start being aware.
How you do it — and what exactly you do — is up to you. You can do it lying down, sitting, or even using methods if you want. You can be aware in a dream or during sleep paralysis. It doesn’t matter.
What matters is not “stopping your thoughts” or “disconnecting from physical sensations.” What matters is knowing that you’re aware of them.
If thoughts come while you're entering the void state, just be aware that you’re aware of those thoughts. Rise above them. Same goes for any other external things.
Yes, even if something itches, or you want to swallow, just be aware of that. And yes, you can move, scratch, swallow, if that brings you comfort… It doesn't interfere with the process at all :)
If there’s noise around you — just be aware of the noise. But if it’s too hard to focus because of it, then wait and do this when it’s quiet.
If you feel like you’re about to fall asleep — don’t worry. Whether you fall asleep or not, you can still remain aware. So it’s not a problem.
If you want to enter the void state — just start being aware that you are aware of whatever is happening. Just be aware.
And you will enter the void state as long as you’re doing only that.
You are always awareness — stop looking, start knowing.
