It's been awhile

It's been awhile since I posted anything on Tumblr. In fact I put most if not all posts I had before on private. I mostly wrote about Outlander. One of my all time top TV shows. With the long waits in between seasons I lost interest and in Outlander and the fandom. Before I stepped out on Outlander I got caught up in the snarky side of the fandom which was truly entertaining and gave me a ton of laughs, but then I remembered why I was so enthralled with Outlander. It was the love story. I love a romantic love story. I just love love.

I was excited to see when I caught up with the Outlander/Sam fandom that it seemed like Sam was dating someone. Yes! Love it! It's great! I hope he shows her off in some beautiful gown at the premier. Nope, there goes the romance I was looking for. Back to my spicy romance novels I go. I finally watched Heated Rivalry. I love a good hockey romance, but never picked this series up. I was not disappointed in part of the series. I have to say, Shane and Illya bore me. That is not romance. Yes the cottage was fun, spicy and they got to be together in the end, but I am not really a fan of enemies to lovers tropes anyway. To top it off Shane had the personality of a wet mop in my opinion. I will say though that I LOVE Scott and Kip. Now, that is a romance. That is how you tell the world you are with someone. You don't hide them, you don't let them walk 10 steps behind you. You bring them out on to the ice and kiss them in front of the fans. I only know the story of Scott and Kip through the show and I am currently reading Game Changers, but I honestly have no interest in the rest of series unless it includes Scott and Kip. And Yes, I understand the hockey culture. My husband played, not NHL or anything, but I understand the masculine culture that surrounds it. This story is fiction though. I am all for the rumors of a Scott and Kip spinoff. Long story short, I want romance, I want love, and I want non toxic love. Be proud of your partner, love them, show them off. Don't hide them. Face the world together.
