If I may, just curious, has HB met any of the other X-Men in your AU besides Kurt?

yes he has! Mainly Wolverine and Kitty, two of Kurt's most important ppl (and the only other 2 X-Men I can safely say I have a basic understanding of lol).

Wolverine is Kurt's oldest friend and his EX in this AU! and while HB isn't the type to get jealous... I rly like the idea of him getting jealous of Logan and Kurt's friendship and past relationship 🤭

Kitty and HB are cool. HB likes her and while Kitty doesn't hate him she is very unimpressed and thinks Kurt should get back with Logan lololol

HB and Kurt play another game of strip poker, Hellboy loses miserably and Kurt gets to take off HB's briefs?

I paid for ur bail cuz ur right that's exactly what they'd do heheheh 🤭😈 and to answer your question on who's the top and who's the bottom, the answer is: they both are! I like to think they're both verse but Kurt has a preference for topping and HB is ok with whatever 🤔

at first I could only see HB as the top since he's bigger but that was back when I barely knew either of them and now that I know them better I've realized that their most realistic dynamic is Kurt as the one doing the topping most of the time.

I still rly like HB as the top ofc I am not immune to the classic big top and small bottom 😏

Absolutely don't have to answer this one, as I admit it is basically straight-up asking for a spoiler buuuuut: How do you see Hellboy and Nightcrawler's story ending? Do the boys get a happy one or...? I get there's a lot to reconcile continuity-wise, but screw it; with all the love and thought you've put into this AU, I'm curious. :3

ooh ty sm this is an awesome ask! when I first started this AU, I only knew their movie counterparts so I didn't have any kind of ending planned, but then I read the Hellboy comics and was rly bummed by the bittersweet ending. so much so that I IMMEDIATELY decided SCREW THAT Kurt is going to save Hellboy SOMEHOW and together with the power of GAY LOVE save the world and all of their friends and prevent the reset from happening... SOMEHOW 😂

I know it's not the best writing, and sometimes I seriously consider just going with the Hellboy comics' original ending just with some gay sprinkled in there, but then I think "this is just some cute little AU that has two characters that aren't even from the same universe fall in love it's not that deep" and continue with my super self indulgent ending rewrite lol

sooooo I haven't settled on anything concrete, but what I've got so far is everything in the HB and BPRD comics goes pretty much the same except with Kurt shoved in there lol. A big change is that Kurt, at some point, is going to try and change Hellboy's fate. Ofc this is going to take a lotta bullshittery and my deus ex machina moment is gonna involve Kurt using his Hopesword to cut the strings of fate that connect Hellboy to the end of the world... Ik ik it sounds rly stupid BUT idk it also sounds rly romantic to me 🤣 Kurt using the power of his hope to save the love of his life? it's so ridiculous love it 🥹

I still do sometimes consider going with a little more canon route and just having them both enter the iron maiden in the end or have Kurt just accept that he can't prevent losing Hellboy and continue helping the rest of humanity not just to honor Hellboy's sacrifice but bc Kurt is a hero and loves helping ppl... but I just can't BEAR the thooght of them not getting their sickly sweet happy ending 😭

ok that's all I got for an ending but tbh if anyone can come up with a better way to give these two a happy ending pls tell me I'd rly love to hear it 😂🙏

besides the ending I still a lot of details I haven't gotten down, like I was originally gonna have Kurt join Hellboy after he quit the BPRD but idk lately I've been heavily leaning towards having Kurt stay at the BPRD and just wait for Hellboy, hoping he'd come back after he's figured his shit out... Only to find out Hellboy's in hell LOL I was also thinking of having Kurt try to bring HB back from Hell Orpheus and Eurydice style. Like, I was thinking of having Kurt reunited with HB sooner than the others back in The Wild Hunt and have him join HB and Alice, but idk idk. There's a lot of fun ideas to explore, it's hard to pick.

SO TO SUMMARIZE... I don't rly have a solid ending planned out for these two but here are some of my ideas 😅
