aaand i'm back for day two of @dianakko-week! this time, with a pokemon-themed doodle, inspired once more by the visual novel created by @starlitwitchy and illustrated by myself! i'm so happy to say had a bigger hand in the concept for this day. i am a pokemon fan first, after all~! i like to imagine that this happens after their battle - what's a little curry between rivals, after all?

Diakko Week Day 2 - Video Game AU

Chat this idea has been pinging around in my head for quite a while, so when I saw today's prompt it was literally perfect. So, yeah! LWA x BOTW. Two of my favourite pieces of media rolled in to one. Some spoilers below to explain my reasoning but hope you like it! I think this is the only day I've actually properly coloured. 😭

Now, please don't come at me for making Diana Link and not Akko, my reasoning is that it fits their personalities better like this as I think it'd be a bit too ooc the other way around. Zelda is such a hyperfixed yapper in this game it fits Akko so well! Plus the feeling of not being good enough at what she does, but still trying all the same! And Diana being more stoic and composed and good at what she does yet is not the best at getting to know people. Like, my girls!

However, Zelda doesn't do a whole lot in BOTW, which was my main hinderance in doing them this way around. Because aint no way Akko would tolerate that. She'd literally bust out of Hyrule Castle one way or the other. But changing that creates the problem where it changes BOTW a lot, so I'm a bit stuck there. The most I've thought so far is that Akko either is with Diana from the beginning of the game, or she comes in part way. And I haven't played TOTK, but I remember how hyped people were at Zelda possibly being there a long side Link (still wished that had happened where is my badass), so I'm just saying they stuck together after BOTW.

Well, that's about it! Maybe I'll flesh this out another time because I really do like this AU. Let's just see if I ever actually do haha.
