#yapping who gaf #every single time i want to draw there's a little shitty goblin in the back of my mind #it wants me to write fanfics so bad #i think it's time for me to listen to it #specifically i want to write about my weird little fae catgirl oc who struggles between being a human being and a nature spirit #but I'm trying to navigate that specific aspect of her character with like... idk. nuance? caution?#I feel that this sort of thing is very trite and done over and I really don't want to write something like #“ONE MILLIONTH FIC OF A CHARACTER TRYING TO FIT INTO A WORLD THAT DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THEM”#and navigating dysmorphia and discrimination as carefully as possible because I fear it could also just be. really bad taste.#so it's something that i've thought about for a while. i want to write her with tact #i also want to write her with aroace spectrum struggles because she's hashtag literally me /j #it's really weird personally because romantic attraction is strange for me. i think it would be for her too #i guess it would just be cathartic

since i've been playing tomodachi life and putting all my ocs in it, my interest in my own personal tokyo ghoul au/headworld got reinvigorated

kakuja concepts for my morally dubious protagonist (earliest -> more recent) and then here's something i did today

ultimately, i feel dissatisfied with all three, because i ultimately want something that goes along the lines of "some sort of slinking limbed serpent that is neither human nor beast" that encapsulates the character's endless hunger to stabilize the "ecosystem" of the city by, for example, targeting high-profile ghouls who over-hunt and invite the eyes of the doves and therefore make it harder for your average ghoul to live

so in short i'm just re-inventing fatalis i think

#tokyo ghoul oc #the character herself operates on a weird moral compass so i find her really fun to think about #like for example she does not give a fuck about ghouls being hunted by humans because in her mind it's just “prey fighting back”#but she doesn't hunt humans herself because she doesn't find it to be thrilling and hunting doves attracts stronger doves who-#-therefore disrupt the ecosystem further by inviting extermination missions. not ideal!#humans are also less appetizing because she learned that ghouls will make you mutate so she's like “hell yes. fuck yes.”#so in her story she makes a contract with a junior dove after an Incident (tm) to help him get revenge on a high-ranked ghoul #which obviously. is not good for him. but he's desperate and she's manipulative and really wants to learn about the ghoul power structures #i want to imagine her earning the trust of the CCG enough for them to collaborate on high-ranked hunts but also that sounds. unrealistic #but it sounds fun and it would help her unlock her potential kakuja so i imagine it anyway. yay.#body horror cw #cw body horror #blood cw #cw blood #catpersonart
