When I was a little girl my dad woke me up on my birthday and walked over to the window in my bedroom and pointed to the pool in the backyard. There was a mermaid swimming in it. The first time I did photography I was in third grade and it was at the Museum of Science camp in Miami. I was into the baseball pitching speedometer and the darkroom. I’ve been doing it ever since. Longest constant in my life. Last time I was shooting black and white and using a darkroom was freshman year of college. Digital was just becoming big and they were switching curriculums after my year. Before this trip I bought a very well priced enlarger from a Rasta military man and I’ve been shooting BW as well as color. I got to develop and print BW negatives for the first time in ten years when I was staying with @paigejr in Chicago 🖤 i LOVE shooting color but it’s very cool thinking about photos in a different way, to me when I shoot the black and white it’s all about light. 🖤 I’m really grateful I got to do that again and get to forever :) I have a week left for my kickstarter goal, link in my bio 🖤 🦋 https://www.instagram.com/p/BnykQ-oFO2W/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=wbqmbrwgschz
