The difference between satan and Lucifer are in name only. Satan simply means adversary in Arabic dialects. It was just a word that Christians use to describe the "adversary" of god. Lucifer was the supposed angelic name god used to name that particular angel before his fall from grace. But, take all of it with a grain of salt. It's just dogma after all. I'm speaking as an ex-catholic, current atheist, and believer in nothing but the power of the human mind and the radiation our sun gives off.
