Super pleased with the men's shirt I'm currently working on! All that's left is to get some buttons!
I purchased this fabric a little over a year ago at a Japanese fabric store in Hawaii. The fabric was made and designed in Japan, and has a beautiful weave. My husband was so excited when he saw it - it was a really sweet moment to have a spouse be so psyched about a hobby of mine. I'm thrilled that he's been wearing more of the shirts I make. :)
At last, I have invented a bag to let cats out of.
It's got catnip in the kitty faces and it's lined in crinkle plastic. They want to kill it so so bad
Why is sewing so very very difficult!? At every stage--even just folding, marking, and cutting fabric, there's always unexpected obstacles. It's like I'm actively fighting the dark forces of sewing at all times

I have accepted that the universe (malice) opposes the creation of a yellow skirt. I have made a green skirt instead.

My feeties are in very pain so the spindle has come out for once
I have had this project on the go for like… 2 years? I think? I’m not a spindle spinner, I just can’t get into the rhythm of it as much as wheel spinning. But I do prefer working with Margo (my support spindle. she’s purple!) than any of my drop spindles. I’ve been spinning these rolags so long I do not remember what’s in them. Looks like merino, silk, angelina and maybe some bamboo? possibly some other kind of wool, like corriedale. I think I have it written down in my craft journal. But I do remember the set was from Woolie Cottage. After this little bit, I only have three rolags left to spin

TdF Days 12-15: Not tons of spinning, but I did managed something everyday and the spindle definitely travelled around the flat. Please enjoy a guest appearance by quality control!
Made a tiny bandana for my scent-reactive rescue cat with one braincell to wear around strangers or while on leash, to try to deter them from bending down to snuggle and kiss her immediately after meeting her. Unfortunately, she is SO CUTE that it is ineffective.
She has some hypersensitive sensory stuff going on, and refuses to tolerate the weight shift of regular leash wraps or dangly tags, but she does tolerate bandanas for some reason. I cut up a regular XL 27" bandana into quarters, rolled-hem stitched the cut sides, and found this great caution tape printed grosgrain ribbon on Etsy to sew onto the border.
I thought about embroidering "FERAL" on it too, but I fear that would only make her look even cuter.

Sometimes Éclair falls in love with a fabric. Apparently this shirting is her new favorite choice.
the top i'm blocking is dry but sadly i don't think it matters. marina has claimed it.

(also this is my new finished knit: the Lauro Sweater by Minimi Knit design. I love it so much, the yarn is from my wonderwool haul this year: knitsonmars (I think) was where the fingering weight came from and the silk alpaca floof was from pigment and ply)

went to knit outside this morning before the heat gets too unbearable as i cant stand staying cooped inside all day anymore - so ofc my geriatric cat thought my laps were the perfect sleeping spot
