Trying to figure out the taxonomy of my pillar men and I can only narrow them down to having descended from non-mammalian cynodonts. Figuring out which cynodonts though is difficult seeing as they’re all long dead at this point and I am not a taxonomist.

I always find taxonomy a part of spec bio I really like seeing, I ponder what part of the tree of life things fit into, so I think it's really cool to see this post!

As for your tags, I also thought I had them as non-amniote tetrapods, but then when I looked for any mention of what I’d pinned them as, all I could find was “pan-amniota” which is really helpful. (/sarcasm.) At that point I decided I’d just start from there. They have synapsid skulls, and then I went further with that.

Yeah, for my pillar men I don't feel like making it more specific than felidae. Pantherinae, felinae, something else, idk.

I had this false assumption that pillar man corpses would automatically disintegrate because that's what Esidisi and Wamuu's bodies did, but those was from Hamon attacks. Watching the back story again those who fought kars left actual bodies because the attacks are not hamon related. This would change how I see the pillar man fossil record

Just wanted to draw out the anatomy for my spec evo pillar men. I don't have a proper caption lol.

The anatomy isn't quite there but I tried my best. I doubt I could make it "there" anyways, especially since I don't know anything about biomechanics and probably never will.
