•Edd keeps track of your brithday each and every year, excitedly and quietly thinking of what to do and get for you each year, pacing around the room while getting lost in his ideas
•Matt, Tom, and Tord always watch as he rambles, trying to calm him down when he begins to freak out
"I could get Y/N a new video game, the one they've been talking about! Ooor, I could treat them to a movie and dinner! But, what if they don't like that-"
"Edd! You need to calm down, okay? Everything's gonna be fine."
"Yeah! This is Y/N we're talking about, they're gonna love the suprise, it's the thought that counts, after all!"
"For real, you're acting like it's finals week, just take a deep breath and relax. Think of what Y/N likes the most and go with that."
•it takes a while to calm Edd down, but when they finally do, he's relaxed, but still questioning if you'll like your gift.
•when your birthday finally rolls around, the crew jumps into action, the room is half decorated and Edd is trying to make you breakfast in bed, but he's too worried you'll wake up and walk downstairs any minute now.
"Stop, you're burning the Pancakes! Just trash those and pour some Cereal!"
"No, I can do this! I'll just make a new batch, just make sure Y/N is still asleep!"
•it's complete chaos, the guys are all yelling over eachother, Ringo's getting annoyed and goes upstairs to your room, when the cat wakes you up, ypu follow her downstairs to see the chaos for yourself:the boys still arguing, the pan smoking, sprinklers going off, ect.
"Guys! What is going on down here?"
"Y/N! Good morning, what are you doing up?"
You simply stated, joining the others downstairs, removing the pan from the stove.
"More like a failed birthday suprise."
Matt chimed in, unable to hold the secret back any longer.
Edd quickly covered his mouth, trying to keep him quiet, giving him a warning look, before looking back at you with a nervous smile.
"Just ignore him, it's nothing important... he dosen't know what he's talking about anyway!"
"Okay? But Edd, you didn't have to do all of this, to go through all the trouble."
"Of course I did, it's your birthday! So... happy biryhday!"
Edd gave you a hug, relived that you weren't upset about the ruined breakfast and you hugged him back.
"Happy birthday, Elskling."
The others wished you happy birthday as well, laughing off the burnt breakfast, and you all cleaned up the kitchen and went out to a resturant. Edd sat next to you and the others sat down across from you, and Edd still clearly felt bad for ruining breakfast.
"I'm sorry again, for all the chaos back there, but I got you a birthday gift!"
"It's fine Edd, really. But that's very sweet of you, you didn't have to get me anything!"
"Of course he did, the guy's smitten."
Tom deadpanned with a smirk, causing Edd to glare at him.
"What? He's right ya know, it's true, and it's the sweetest gift ever!"
Tord added and Edd buried his face in his hands, completley embarrassed.
"Aww, don't worry Edd! They'll find out it's a Green heart-shaped locket soon!"
Matt said clearly, causing everyone to freeze and look at Matt, having exposed what your gift was.
"...with a picture of you and Edd in it."
Given everything, you still had the best birthday ever, and you returned his feelings. Best birthday ever.
