I don't understand peoples' need to tear apart people who celebrate Valentines Day or preface things with "This is a silly, made up holiday!" 1. Let people love. It's happy and nice and not hurting you at all and if you're tearing people apart for it, it just makes you look bitter and insecure. 2. Yeah, NEWS FLASH, all holidays are made up. Doesn't mean it's not a nice excuse to do something thoughtful for someone you love. And just because you feel like people should do thoughtful things all the time doesn't mean that today should be less of an excuse to do something thoughtful. 3. Treat yourself. Self-love, man. It's a beautiful thing and I would 100% treat myself to something awesome if I was single. This year, Austin's doing that for me. But I've had 24 other Valentines Days of self-love and mom-love and I've loved every single one of them. It's awesome and honestly so much fun. So stop making people feel bad for being in love, please. Stop buying into the fact that you have to discount it as a "silly holiday" before expressing your love. IF YOU WANNA CELEBRATE VALENTINES DAY, THEN CELEBRATE VALENTINES DAY. IF YOU DON'T, YOU HAVE NO REASON TO CRAP ALL OVER OTHER PEOPLES' PARADE!
