physicsJ: Voyager 1 approaching Jupiter in 1979, recorded over 25 days. The planet rotates in under 10 hours, so they observed 60 rotations! To make this video they picked only frames which had the Great Red Spot in the same position, allowing us to see Jupiter’s screaming storms and winds.

This funny, old catalog scan may be less accurate than our current, but it’s higher resolution and I have come to feel these are fun to see. This one is not that off color-wise perhaps, it’s rather the old printing limitations render it flat, lighter, redder and brighter. I don’t know anyone who has seen the original however, in fact, there are not a lot of pics of it at all. This scan gives me a different look at it, and I always like that.

GEORGIA O’KEEFFE, Photographed at her Ghost Ranch home in Abiquiu, New Mexico, USA (c.1970s). The house was built in Adobe style, made out of straw and mud, which creates an unique soft and uneven surface on the walls. The hanging metal mobile was a gift from O’Keeffe´s friend, Alexander Calder (c.1940s)

Keith Rankin is one of the founders of Orange Milk Records, a very fresh underground label from Ohio. He’s also responsible for the sublime artwork of their releases, mostly cassettes and vinyls.
