No One Can Find This "Creepy Dinosaur" Game... | Escape: Triassic Hall
Hey so an insane new dinosaur got announced??
This is Haolong dongi, a new species of iguanodontian ornithopod found covered in what is basically,,, hedgehog quills??
The fossil is a stunningly preserved skeleton from China that includes evidence of hard armour scales on the tail (like in the much smaller Kulindadromeus), and a coat of spines along its neck and back! The name appropriately means "spiky dragon".
Not only is a spiny iguanodont wild on its own (this individual is over 2 metres long and is a juvenile, other ornithopods with quill-like structures are much smaller), these spines also appear to be an entirely new skin structure? They're apparently not feathers or scales, but a secret third thing.
The publication is available to read here!
This is so EXCITING!!!! :D
he's shy
Saw some pictures of hooded crows playing in the snow and wanted to redraw them as silly little dromaeosaurs.
The pictures are under the cut!
Turned 24 last week. I feel old now…
Brought a little dinosaur friend with me to celebrate, and found a festive demogorgon. : )
Dinosaurs at the louisville zoo! 🦖
loved these animatronics, they were pretty cool! i especially liked the feathered raptors, its nice to see more feathery dinosaurs show up in events like these. Really feels like theyre finally becoming more mainstream and im all here for it!

Went on a weekend trip to brown county, Indiana a long time ago, but the place we went to had no reception. So there really wasn't much to do aside from watching TV or playing video games.
But i also found another activity to kill the time, i had brought a random selection of bakugan with me, so i took some pics of them. some are artsy, some are goofy

Storm Skyress in front of Storm Chaser at Kentucky Kingdom ⚡️
I thought it would be both cool and kinda funny to get a picture of my storm skyress bakugan in front of the storm chaser coaster (get it, cus their names start with storm)
Also shoutout to my fiance for helping me take this photo by holding storm skyress

The sea beast 🌊🐉 ____
my grandma gave me this really cool sea dragon statue a long time ago, I dont have it on display next to this fountain anymore (the dragon is currently in storage right now til i move out), but its still an awesome looking figure.

Alright i couldn't resist posting this one. This is another older picture from 2021, honestly Im gonna start putting the year these pics were taken at the bottom of the post so you all know which photos are reposts.
Anyway this is a log flume ride at my local amusement park (Kentucky kingdom), and it always opens later than all the other rides. I guess its because parks generally dont open water rides til after memorial day. But why did i take a pic of this? because this ride sitting here, not in use, with the dirty water sitting in it made me feel creeped out, idk it just looks so cursed.
So, this was a photo I took on the Jurassic jungle boat ride during my Tennessee trip, but I didn’t upload it with my other photos because I had originally deleted it due to it being so blurry. But when I looked a the photo again when scrolling through the deleted photos on my iphone, I thought it was actually kinda cool looking, so i recovered the photo and decided to post it.
glad i chose to keep it. The blurriness of the lights strangely make it prettier and, for a lack of a better word, it looks artsy.
23.07.13 Catching a Wave
Daily drawing 1383. I am so happy with this drawing! I've been wanting to draw Stitch like this for a while and finally worked up the motivation to give it a shot! I really love the way everything turned out!

Honestly, i really need to catch up with my photography on here. I've been wanting to start catching up to the photos i've posted on my insta, but i've been busy with life + other projects so i just keep forgetting.
I really need to post more of my own content on here. Especially with how other social sites seem to be going down the drain, this place seems like my next best bet for posting my photography/other things. I typically use instagram to post my photography, but it crunches the quality of my photos and im not a fan of that. I need another place to post my pics so people can get a good look at them.
starting today, im gonna start catching up and uploading the photos ive taken the last year or so. They'll all be photos i already had on my insta account, which by the way if you want to check it out, its the same username as this account. It'll take a while to catch up (especially with my las vegas photos, dear lord i have so many vegas photos) so if it feels kinda spam-ey here for a while, thats why.
:V Do you have any tips on how to better draw paws/claws/monster hands?
To me this is a very broad question. I don't understand exactly what you're asking for. So I'm gonna throw some thoughts and hope that at least some of it is useful. X3
(btw I don't want to call this a "better way" to draw, it's just some tips and thoughts. I'm not an expert. :p)
There's no right or wrong way to draw monster hands and anatomy. You can do whatever you want with it, it's wonderful!
But if you want to know how I like to think when drawing and designing, here ya go!
(The anatomy can of course be completely different, these are just more human like hands as easy examples.)
For me, having an understanding of human hand anatomy along with animal paw anatomy is the key to designing and drawing believable monster/creature hands.
There are so many weird and cool clawed hands/paws out there! Getting inspiration from them and using them as reference is always helpful!
But remember to have fun! Experiment! Play with the anatomy or throw it all out the window, all approaches are valid as long as you're having fun! :3
lahore pigeons are some of the most visually appealing birds out there. like in terms of visual design. very minimalist, good contrast.
Too bad Lahore pigeons are a domestic breed and don’t appear in the wild at all. Some equally balanced wild colorations include
Pygmy Falcon
Great Hornbill
Wallcreeper
and
Black-throated Loon
this is a good addition to this post. thank you for this birds educations
I would like to submit the following additions to the world of exceptional bird color design:
Cedar Waxwing
Red Crowned Crane
Brahminy Kite
Green Tree Swallow (I mean seriously - those are metallic teal feathers against stark white. Damn.)
Bali Mynah
And, last but certainly not least, the cutest fucking puffball on this planet earth:
The Korean Crow-Tit
I’d also like to contribute some pretty awesome birds
Hooded Pitta (or as like to call them little olives)
Coua
Mot-Mot
The Blue Crown Pigeon (the biggest pigeon)
good post

May I present the most fabulous turkey in the world, the Ocellated Turkey?
Might I add
The Violet-backed starling
the Himalayan Monal (in love with the moomin-looking one)
