It's been a while.

So if anybody noticed, this account kind of stopped being active, and I didn't officially announce a hiatus. If you talk to me on Skype, you probably know what's been going on but I will elaborate for anybody who might want to know here. On September 15, 2016 I lost my grandmother ("Nona") to lung cancer that had spread to other parts of her body, including her brain. It was in August that she stopped being herself. Nona was really close to my brother and I when she was alive, and so I was naturally distraught when she passed on. I really wasn't up for much in the way of writing. On top of this, for me roleplaying is a means of forgetting the real world for a while, meaning this muse in particular was not one I felt I could deal with. It was for this reason, and also for fear of encountering content that might make me feel worse, that I took a break from Tumblr altogether. I still roleplayed as my no-SGRUB Karkat (@cachaemicgaucherie) though, because the roleplaying in that AU is primarily done on Gaia and avoiding unwanted content was easier there. I am starting to recover and my New Year's resolution is to start getting enjoyment out of the things I like doing again. Thus, I now plan on (slowly) coming out of my hiatus. I will probably only be semi-active over the coming weeks, but hopefully I'll be able to pay more attention to my muses on Tumblr now. I'm glad to be back.
