i think a lot of posts about fucking the rain world fauna actually don't take their size into equation. like, assuming you're not taking the form of a slugcat, how big do we think the lizards really are in comparison to You. what if they're tiny as fuck like real life lizards. what if they're iguana sized. are you still going to think they're hot if they're tiny and not able to vore you. we don't know how tall a slugcat is.... so we cant reliably measure other creature's height compared to it.....

Okay, ignoring the vore, im pretty sure that the creators (joar and james) made it so that the sizes in rainworld feel alien, since rainworlds environment was supposed to be alien to that of ours, things are weird sizes, things are innaccurate sometimes, its not exactly OUR world, the lizard could be as big as us. i have no Idea!

this is a little outside my scope, but maybe I can clarify a bit

in what i have seen, automation from a corporate perspective is not seen as a tool for workers, but instead as a way to create as much corporate asset/income/growth as possible while minimizing workers' pay. like any other means of production it has been & will continue to be subsumed into and exploited under capitalism, but i do still think it can be a useful tool sometimes

there are a lot of things machines are very good at, notably highly precise and repeatable tasks, especially when those machines have been custom-made for a highly specific thing (layperson's ex.: any episode of how it's made). on the other hand humans are vastly better at recognizing patterns and flaws in that repetition; ive done a lot of parts inspection at work, which can mesh very nicely with a machine doing more of the grunt work.

tldr if implemented better automation could be utilized to lessen workload on human workers and focus it on more human-specific tasks, which combined with basic income could probably improve the general state of things somewhat.

this is an editorial, at the end of the day i am a guy on the internet drawing pictures and working in something that isnt drawing pictures, etc etc
