"Are these acceptable?"
You know what? Screw it, I am building that freaky-ass body for myself.
Now I just need to get some cores installed and some auto-pilot programs written for the facility, and I can go farting around, scaring people and kicking ass. XD

Please oh please oh please oh please?!? ✹
"Her name is Caroline," the Oracle cheeped softly from her altar.
"She is a gem." agreed Cave distractedly, shifting his grip on a defective core and carefully renewing the pain-killing code he'd injected into the sphere's hard drive.
Xyr optic was a pallid green pinprick and the battered vocalizer seemed unable to make any sound other than a droning 'aaa-aaa-aaa', but so far as Cave could tell, xe was quite calm, if a bit confused.
The brain-mapping records were silent on this one, which galled him, and with the gentlest of touches, he probed the strange core's memory banks, leeching corruption from xem like a sponge.
There was nothing like boredom to get him poking around the facility, and Lord God, did he find some ugly things sometimes.
It was worse when he realized his own prejudices were to blame for this...waste. This travesty. The A.I. were alive, as much as he was, and yet they were granted no more regard, no more rights, than a toaster oven.
It made Cave wonder how the lab boys really saw him, hanging from the ceiling like some kind of skulking eldritch horror.
He was suddenly, overwhelmingly glad that Caroline had taken the desperate chance she had that day, so long ago.
Better me than her, he thought with a shudder. I deserve this.
The core snared in his coils squeaked, and Cave stared down at xem, optic shutters flicking in a slow blink.
"Look, I'm really sorry." he half-whispered. "I know you didn't ask for any of this, but I'm gonna try and fix it, okay?"
The core's optic flickered and relaxed, lolling in his hold, and nearly cooed when his tendrils smoothed comfortingly over xyr handles.
"I can't say everything'll be all right," he added, "but I'll see if I can't at least make things safe for you. How's that?"
It was a start, at least.

Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.
Cave still daydreams about eating. Although he can’t experience taste anymore, he remembers vividly how some things tasted. (Remember the wine-loving skull in The Last Unicorn?)
When Cave is very angry, his voice lowers in pitch and sounds more synthetic. Normally, he sounds quite a bit like his old recordings, little static crackles and all.
He might gripe about his tactile cabling, but he’s privately glad that he has the stuff. It would really bother him if he lost all ability to touch and personally manipulate things in his chamber.
When he laughs really hard, his brake couplings lose their grip and he starts sliding toward the floor. He’s startled a few technicians pretty badly that way.
He’s a terrible snoop and an inveterate gossip. He calls it ‘gathering intelligence’, but the truth is, Cave loves to be the guy with all the answers.

Of course, the DOS chassis isn't equipped for those sorts of shenanigans.
