( KAT )
❝Me too,❞Hands, barely kept from trembling, land deliberately on Raven’s exposed upper back, soaking in the heat her body provides. She has no interest in feeling the cloth that covers her body, she needs something more real, needs to feel soft skin beneath her fingers.
They unravel enough to catch each other’s eyes, and although her raven looks away, Kat pays no mind to their guardians. While Dusty recovers from the attack, fur bristled and paws swatting at Xii’s wings, Kat just looks at Raven. It’s been a year, even longer for her ( a detail she has no interest disclosing any time soon ), and to see that she’s still exactly the same… Her eyes flick from those eyes, bright despite everything, to her nose, her cheeks, and down to rosy lips.
❝Raven…❞ The touch of their lips is soft, contrary to their crushing embrace from before. Raven’s lips taste salty, and Kat belatedly realizes that she’s crying
though eyes seemed to wander , mind remained resolute / fixated on her KAT . ( perhaps her vision meandering was merely a prod towards reclusive nature . so SILENT & LONELY , but still WHOLE ... WHOLE with KAT . ) only once she had heeded the whisper of her own title , did CROW bring gaze back `pon equal & for the briefest moment , she was allowed air — only for it to hitch so tightly within her throat .
lips had met with , what could only be described as , chaste warmth — all so UNFAMILIAR , yet experience appeared to come with time ; time that was only mere seconds , in contrast to the eternal ardour between them . & so came her own passion — hands clung so desperately , ebony roots `pon digits grasped at OTHER HALF for dear life . a pure desire , as easily taken in as a mistaken breath & she’s first to pull away .
palms inch towards own face & rub at skin ( appearing desperate to shy away WEAKNESS ) she wiped the streams of cascading tears `pon blackened sleeves . fingers fumbled & only then did she feel the fervour that had built behind her cheeks , rose speckled cheeks — hah . what an embarrassing sight .
