Chapter 3: Easy A (2010)

Remus slid into the limo as the driver opened the door to find Sirius practically laying down across the seat with his head leaning against the back. Remus laughed. “You’re already asleep? You’re going to be a shit date if you’re sleeping before we even get there.”

Sirius didn’t open his eyes, but a slow smile spread across his face. “They let me off the set of Mythic for the day, but they woke me up at four so I could get in at least four hours of workout before I had to head to the airport.”

“Four hours?” Remus scoffed. “You’ve got to be kidding. That’s an exaggeration, right?”

“No.” Sirius peeked through one half-opened eye. “It was actually a bit of a relief. It’s normally six hours.”

"Oh fuck me," Sirius laughed as he tripped over absolutely nothing on his way back to the enormous couch from the bathroom. "Too drunk. Please return to sender." Mary smoothed his hair back from his face and immediately set to braiding it. "You've been drunker." Sirius nodded. "That I have, that I have…" He closed his eyes and smiled to himself, thinking about how the last time he was this drunk, or maybe a little more, he'd gotten married.  "You what?!"  Sirius's eyes flew open. "I've said that aloud," he whispered, horrified.

“Traitor! I can’t believe you are betraying me again!” Sirius yelled, clambering out from Harry’s toy box.

“Oh, like you didn't change alliances already this evening?” snarked Remus arms folding as he leaned against the doorframe.

“My betrayals were all in good fun! But yours...”

“Okay, I think it is time for tea, while Harry has his nap,” intervened Lily, sweeping into the room, scoping the young boy into her arms. “I’ve suddenly remember why we don't play play hide and seek anymore,”
